I ordered these www.thefryecompany.com/jillian-chelsea/d/74393 in the whiskey color because I had been eyeing some flat booties thinking they had to be very versatile. Conveniently I saw a post on Pinterest from Lucky magazine or some fashion article saying how these were the best so versatile and comfy but provided no ideas how to style them. I finally found some at a place I had a store credit/GC to in my size so I ordered them. I can't find anything on Pinterest that would help me style them sans them 1) being black and 2) going and buying a new European wardrobe. Any ideas?
Or are these completely hideous and I should take them back anyway?
What size shoe do you wear? I have boots sort of in that shape, and I can only wear them under pants because they make my feet look huge. Something about the tight ankle and the long toe with nothing to break it up. But if you have small feet you will probably be fine!

I love them! I have several pairs in different shapes and colors. I even have a board of them. I actually live in the city now and that requires a lot of walking. Here's some ideas with S&B basics and trendy pieces.

Here's a few more mor cute ones. The blazer could be any color. I'd do whiskey boots with the dress before black and flat any day for a ball game since we walk to the park.

I don't think they look half bad. I just threw them on and didn't attempt to be fancy. I don't know that I love them either. I should probably return and try the SE Petty? I've had my eyes on those too.
ETA - sorry photos are dark, the light above the mirror has burned out and DH has yet to replace.
I have them, I love them. I wear them with everything. I bought the Petty too and found them uncomfortable but got a similar pair. I think they are very different. I love chelsea boots.

Did you try them with a thicker cuff, and no skin show, a dress, or jeggings? jenniferl923 those are really hot and getting hotter. I think you just have to play with them a little more and have fun. I have 5 pairs of Fryes and regret none. The cute pair with the orange elastic are Jeffrey Campbell for about $100 if you want an option for less.
I like them. I wouldn't cuff the pants as high, just right above the top of the boot or a larger cuff like pp mentioned. I thought you got black, I love the color.
I am with FormerCityGirl, I have 4 pairs of Frye and regret none. I am not going to lie, my new favorites are my Engineer 8R in grey. I love, love, love them so much. I have a new object of desire, the Laurie Short Zip in camel, that I may buy myself for my 40th birthday. They aren't flat but they are short.
