No, I am in agreement with you there. Completely. But since he's here, he needs love and treats and a couch to sleep on and people who will spoil him for the rest of his days. I have a thing for pits because they have such a bad rap, and mine thinks that he is the King of Siam and that his job is to lick you to death.
I completely agree - he's here and deserves to be loved! I have a feeling a dog like this was an accidental "my dog escaped from the back yard and humped that dog and this is what happened."
I want to believe this but weren't we discussing a few weeks ago about how it's impossible for certain breeds to reproduce naturally because it's just physically impossible? Is it possible for a pittie to mate with a dachshund?

I have a dog that looks like that in my neighborhood. He looks more corgi tho than doxie, so maybe a little less odd. In person he's one of the coolest looking dogs I've ever seen.

Unless the dachshund was the male?
This requires too much visualizing. I'm just going to go with your theory.
Dachshunds already have increased chances of spine trouble with their little legs and long bodies. Adding a head that looks way too big for its body to support easily seems like it would only increase those chances. Poor baby.

Actual lol. That's the theory I'm going with. Because a male pit and a female dachshund...I feel like that would maybe cause damage to the female and there's no way she'd be able to birth puppies with those ginormous heads.
Ok. I steeled myself and looked into backyard breeder forums. Gross. So apparently Dox-Bull is a thing. People cross a male dox with a female mini-pit (WTF is that?) and get these dox-bulls. Doesn't work with a female dox. Some puppies turn out cute, some not so much and are consequently abandoned, I guess.
Dox bulls happen by accident too. But that's really rare.

Now I want to simultaneously barf and cry, and of course save them all.
