What the fuck? This is the third, no, fourth time this has happened since we bought this house in June. That is my driveway. That is not my car. This person has been parked fully across the end of my driveway since my H got home around 6:30. I called right of way enforcement and they're supposed to be sending someone out soon, but I need to go to bed soon. If they haven't towed it, I'm going to have to call the non-emergency police. I leave for work at 5am. I can't just not be able to leave my driveway. Why are people so incapable of parking properly!?
Update: The car has been moved. See further explanation below.
I'd call a tow service. They'll move real quick once they see it being towed and more than likely have to pay a fee. It has to be the same household doing it, right? I bet it won't happen again.

What the hell? Who DOES that?
I would absolutely call and have it towed. If it's someone who lives in your neighborhood, they most likely will not be leaving before 5 AM at this point. Eff that.

I've already checked on this. Trust. A private towing company won't touch it since it's technically on a city street. He's just blocking my property, not actually on it.
But, the lady just called to update me and there's an officer on the way over. She said I'll need to sign something to have it towed. My pen is in hand!
eta: It's never been the same car. We live in the city and there's a YMCA down the street. Most of the time, it's people going to the gym, I think. The last time, it was a lady visiting our neighbor. I don't think any of our actual neighbors have actually done this, mostly because we are all super sensitive to the parking thing because of the assholes who use our street for gym parking.
If it happened immediately after you moved in & the house had been empty for a LOOOOONG time, I *might* give one pass. Obviously this isn't the case, though. I'd be tempted to temporarily put a "no parking" sign at the end of my driveway.
Thanks for the outrage, guys. This is the closest I've gotten to potentially having one of these jerks towed and I am sort of giddy about it. I feel like a bad person, but then I'm all, fuck that, get out of my way!
I don't want to keep him at the end of my driveway! lol
You don't have to! Just come back out and ask them what the fuck they're doing when they start yelling about getting booted. lol
That would be fine in the other instances. Not so much in this one. If he's truly parked for the night, it's highly unlikely he'll be back out there before I have to leave for work at 5am. I need to be able to get my car out of the driveway.
Don't feel bad! I sort of hope they see it getting towed and freak, and then I also hope they don't, so they think it was stolen.
I definitely need to ask the officer who they should call if they come to the door. Ha. I'm assuming the police take record of it so if they call to report it stolen there's a note about the license plate and it being towed.
You guys are going to love this. She got here and turned on her flashing lights. This lady from the house with the Christmas lights came out. She's house sitting for the neighbor. Apparently it was her girlfriend's car. I'm kind of pissed that she didn't get towed. She was like, "oh my gosh, I'm so sorry!" Then she comes back out with the keys and says, "it's my girlfriend's car. She said 'it was just a small driveway.'"
Uhhh? It's still a goddamn driveway! It doesn't have to be 3 cars wide to count as a driveway. What the fuck does that even mean, anyway? Fuckers.

(huh)
(1) I can't believe that you didn't do something the very first time this happened. (2) You are not in the wrong. The person parking there is the bad person.
