Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer. I'm not far yet but I think I will enjoy it.
QOTW: I am a SAHM, so I guess a day off for me would mean no kiddo and none of the normal household stuff. I would read, knit, and bake something yeasty and delicious. And probably waste too much time puttering around online.
Reading The Wedding Dress by Rachel Hauck. Not loving it but not ready to put it down.
Ohhh, my favorite kind if days off! Especially if I can have no kids or DH. Then I would tackle one of my projects on the to-do list. House improvement, putting photo albums together, etc. plus plenty of reading time and eating what I want.
I'm reading "The Wild Truth" by Carine McCandless. I have very mixed feelings about it.
QOTD: I'd probably watch West Wing episodes. We didn't watch it the first time around but are LOVING binge watching when we can. DH is an accountant so this is really busy season for us + I'm going to school part time and working full time, so don't get a lot of completely free time right now.
I just finished A House in the Sky - a memoir about a woman who gets kidnapped in Somalia. I thought it was well written. It was a truly horrifying story and I don't think I'm going to be able to shake that feeling for awhile. Still, I would recommend it.
Day off: I would online shop. I think it would be better to just watch movies all day though.

Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand. Another of my "finish before the movie comes out" Obviously failed for theater release, so now I'm going for small screen release!

Just about finished The Little Girls by Elizabeth Bowen. It's awful. But I am determined to finish it. It's for the Ultimate Reading Challenge task "A book you started but didn't finish."
QOTW: I was assuming that if you were a SAHM/W the day off would be free from any responsibilities and without the kids. I like to think I'd spend it doing fun stuff, but I'd probably clean and do laundry and then binge watch something.
I just finished reading The Witness by Sandra Brown. It was #6 for the year. It was okay, it just switched points of view and dates/times/years a lot and it was hard to follow sometimes. And it took forever for something to happen.
QOTW: I stay at home reading, drinking coffee and/or tea and/or a nice wine, depending on the time of day. I'll pamper myself at one point: bath, body scrub, lotion, followed by a pedicure and cozy clothes. If it's nice out I'll sit on my porch and relax with a book some more.
I just finished Without You There Is No Us. I'd recommend it even though I wasn't crazy about the writing style. I'm going to start Love Minus Eighty and possible The Martian as well.
QOTW: Read or play video games. Just generally relax:)

I'm reading a non-fiction book, The Geography of Thought. It's pretty dense, but I'm getting the gist of it.
QOTW: I would start the epic project of cataloguing my recipes. My collection of Food Network Magazines is getting embarrassing. (I've kept every single issue ever.)

I'm still working my way through The Cuckoo's Calling. It's taken me forever to read; by the time I have a few moments to myself to read, I'm so exhausted that I fall asleep just a few pages in. I'm not sure what I think of it so far, really. It's intriguing but pretty slow going.
QOTW: If I had a day to myself (no kids!) I'd take a really long bath, lounge around the house in comfy clothes, sit out on the back patio (assuming it's summer, lol) with some coffee and read. I'd also probably catch up on some of my favorite shows on Netflix.
I'm currently reading The Fiery Cross. I have never made it further in the series than this book and I always get stopped about a third through because I lose steam. I'm determined to make it! lol! I'm also doing the Popsugar 2015 Reading Challenge. My personal reading challenge is 52 books this year. Obviously there is some crossover there.
QOTW: You've been given an unexpected day off, but you must stay at home; what do you do with the time?

Are you really reading all these at once? How does that work, exactly?
