I'm not going to be able to get to the hospital to see Emmy today, and I'm sad. It's hard only having my mom to watch Callie. Then one of the therapists in the NICU made me feel guilty by telling me a thousand times how much Emmy needs me, and that studies have shown the ill effects of babies being separated from their moms for weeks at the beginning. I wanted to scream that I'm trying my hardest.
To make myself feel better I'm doing some online shopping. I need to find the perfect coming home outfit for Emmy. She's so long so she's already out of preemie, but newborn is so baggy. I need to find a small newborn size.
Oh she can f*ck right off! Seriously! You are doing an amazing job... Don't dwell on that nonsense any longer.
formerlyllizzyb Calvin was 7lb 8oz at 1 month. I bet N will be a very similar size to him since they were the same birth weight. He's 19lb 8oz at 1 year.

I think I'm going to use my amazon GC to buy some, "lovely" perfume. I love that one and I haven't had it in years. I wear perfume most days, I'm in the ,"you can't wear it when you are dead" camp.
We usually owe a bit bc we both do lots of contract work which doesn't have taxes taken out. Luckily one if my contract jobs changed to w2 this year so that should help. Also we put my whole income in savings so we just pay what we owe out of our savings account.

G just gained weight sooo fast the first six months. He was huge. It's weird to me to have this baby who still can't fit into some of her newborn clothes!

I'm pretty sure we are going to owe this year. My teacher store made more than I anticipated, and all of that income is untaxed. I am going to have to create an s-corp this year. Also Dh made some money playing the stock market, so we shall see.

Both mine chunked up really fast, 5 and 6 pounds at birth and over 15 pounds by 4 months, then they'd slow down.
After being unemployed or at least not working in my field for over a year I suddenly have four potential job opportunities all at the same time. I hope I get at least one of them but damn to have to choose at this point would be crazy.

My H has had four coworkers ask him if the baby is STTN yet.
Yes, our four week old sleeps through the the night. If by STTN you mean eats every 2-3 hours with the occasional 4 hr stretch, and sometimes thinks it's a good idea to be wide awake from 1-3 a.m.

Does any baby sttn at four weeks?!
Why do people ask this? It's like they have no idea what to say about a baby, so they always ask about their sleep. Shut up people, it's a sore subject!!!

What?? No. How long has it been since these people have had children? I feel like their memory is fading. I hesitate to ask the parents of 6 month olds if their baby is STTN.

Ugh. My 7 month old still doesn't sleep through the night. And several people's almost 3 year olds still don't. People suck.

I don't mind the simple question of "how is she sleeping?" B/c then I can either bitch or brag about it, lol. Or educate the childless on baby sleep but asking if she's sttn? That my friend might earn you a throat punch.
blane12 my MIL still maintains that both her EBF babies sttn by 6 weeks. Whatever lady.
you make an entire book every month??? No wonder you are backed up! I do a 100 page book for the year (he has a 2 volume first year baby book and so will #2) but still that's only about 4-8 pages per month. AND i was proud of that one lol
One book for every month?? Man, I have a hard time doing one for each year.
well I tried to do seasons but it gets too overwhelming to try to reduce 2000 pictures down to 300 so I am just going to do 100 page books of 300 pictures
