I'm rooting for neither team, but looking forward to going to a neighbor's party and stuffing my face with apps.
Other than that if DS is feeling better he has another wrestling tournament. I am hoping to do my first 20 miler of the training cycle. Oh, and potty training. Still. We are on day 4 of the 3 day method. That is not how this is supposed to work.
We may watch some of the game, but football isn't huge to us. I'm more of a baseball fan, and my H isn't terribly consumed with watching sports either.
I have a cutback long run, so hopefully 10 miles will feel good.
Happy racing and competing if anyone is!
ETA: food is definitely the best part of the game. I just asked H and we may go to a friend's place to eat/drink/watch commercials and a little football.
Speaking of, has anyone seen the Budweiser lost puppy commercial? So sweet.
I think yesterday i realized the superbowl this weekend. We usually go to party, and thats e only reason i pay attention, but the hosts had a baby a couple of weeks ago lol
Good luck any racers.
This is my last weekend before marathon training. Yikes! Im going to orange theory on sunday, i mentioned in my other thread. Im excited and scared lol its about 20 mi jtes away, so i wont be doing it regularly, but if i like it, im giing to try for a few times a month.
I'm going to do a 3 hour ride on Saturday and will try to get a ride in on Sunday if it doesn't start raining in the morning. I have no Super Bowl plans, but I'll probably record it and watch the commercials.

Running group tomorrow - maybe 5 miles? Fancy dinner party with H's former co-workers tomorrow night. Yay, I get to hang out with accountants all night. 4-mile race Sunday morning No super bowl plans other than watching it at home with junk food
I'm so excited for this weekend! I'm meeting a huge group for a training trail run - I'm just doing the 12 mile option, but others will go up to 23. I usually do a 10k on super bowl sunday, but this year I just signed DS up for the kids race. There are 1k or 40 yard dash options. He is sooooo excited. H will be on his own all Saturday morning, but if he doesn't want to stay home, I may try to race the 5 or 10k too.
ETA: I love football! We're Steelers fans, but I love Russell Wilson. H calls him my boyfriend. He's been my fantasy QB for a few years, so I'm rooting for the Seahawks.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.

I don't really care about the super bowl. I'm just hoping it doesn't snow and we get to go to our party, but if it does snow I cant at least a foot. I'm tired of this 1-2 inch nonsense.

Long run of some mileage planned for tomorrow. It's going to be 20 degrees and super windy, so I'll probably just hit the treadmill and want to die by the end of it.
Go Seahawks!
I have no dog in the fight, but I'll root for whoever is playing against the Patriots (what else can a Jet fan do?)!

I'm teaching spin tomorrow and have a long run on Sunday. I'm hoping for 8 to 10 miles.
We're going to do some yard work on Saturday, and I don't really know what is going on on Sunday. I'm not really that into the Super Bowl this year. I'm feeling kind a like a party pooper this year, and I'm not looking forward to dealing with people drinking too much (which seems to always happen )
My long run on Sunday will be leg #5 of my trail group's project. It's projected to be temps of below zero and the first mile of this trail section is straight uphill so I'm facing some cold windy temps! Not a huge football fan, but we do like the Superbowl. We'll be enjoying DH's homebrew and some wing dip and jalapeno popper dip.

Hard core! I hope the weather surprises you. I'm loving that idea for your group. And jalapeno popper dip. That stuff is amazing.

I have my first long run/ride on tap this weekend for 70.3 training. Other than that, I'll be working (blah), but we are having a few people over for a super casual Super Bowl party. I am mainly rooting for the Seahawks to lose, because I hate/loathe/despise Pete Carroll.

Good luck racers! After I finish my to do list here this afternoon, I am taking the evening off and all of tomorrow off. I'm hoping just to work on lesson plans, putz around the house, maybe clean maybe not I don't know. I just want to have nothing on the books. Sunday I will do my long run, practice my lesson plans and I will we will stuff our faces during the Super Bowl. We don't care who wins we just want food and the commercials! Lol!
No races, just going out in the freezing cold for a few runs. Shifting my long run to Sunday so my water bottles don't freeze.
My husband is a huge Patriots fan so we're having friends over for a Super Bowl party, should be fun except I'm in the midst of Whole 30 so no beer or stuff beyond what we are making.

Good luck to the racers!
That's a special kind of torture, to be doing a Whole 30 during the Super Bowl!

No races but I am meeting up with a local nestie/bumpie and we're going to go run 8 miles this weekend. Which reminds me I need to go mapquest where I'm supposed to park. Ha.
I've got a recovery long run on Saturday, only 9 miles. I'm tempted to go out on the trail, but the door to door loop is 10 miles and it's kind of a gnarly run. May just be good to my legs and stay on the roads.
Sunday I'm hitting a flea market with a friend n the morning, and then we have a birthday party to go to in the late morning. I guess we'll turn the game on in the afternoon, or we may take the kids to the park. Lol
My DD turns 2 on Saturday, so we are having a little party. I got an IUD for the first time this morning, so I kind of feel like garbage and I am scared to put a tampon in to swim or ride my bike. I'll see how I'm feeling tomorrow, but I definitely need to do my long run on Sunday. My running has been really lax this month.
Go Seahawks! I'm in Oregon, so they are my new home team. I really just want to eat guacamole all afternoon.

I put my plans in the Thankful Thursday post, but it will be a sports and food filled weekend watching English Premiere League on Saturday (go Chelsea!) and the Super Bowl on Sunday (go neither team!). Saturday will also include a run as I can already tell I'm not going to do one tonight, and Sunday will include a soccer game followed by brunch to see an old teammate who's in town this weekend.
I can't wait to literally have to roll into work on Monday
