Dd has about 10 pair of shoes that fit at any given time bc she's a slow grower and I overbuy. The ones worn most often get tossed but the ones that are not are saved.

For the first few sizes, yes, I am reusing them on DD2. Once DD1 hit 2 years, her shoes really started wearing out, so I have only saved rain boots, snow boots, Uggs, and special occasion shoes.
With her worn out shoes, I run them in our washing machine and then donate them.
Yep. We've reused them. As they get older it seems they are harder on their shoes. If the shoes aren't super beat up, we keep them for back up/ play-in-the mud shoes.
Do you plan to use shoes again with other kids assuming they are still in good condition? DS hasn't been in any size more than 6 months, and they're all pretty decent brands (Saucony, Stride Rite, SKR). Trying to figure out if I should save or donate them.
Yes reuse. Now that my oldest is 6 and in school full time he is harder on them and I may not pass down but have up until now.

I would have reused the baby/new walker shoes since their feet grow so fast and they didn't get worn out. However, DS1 has extra wide feet and DS2 has average width feet, so that plan did not work. Once they were walking and running and wearing the same pair of shoes for 10 hours a day for 4-6 months at a time, I did not plan on reusing them. Their sneakers look like garbage when they are ready for new ones. I only buy them a pair of sneakers, boots for the season, and sandals in summer. We do not buy dress shoes. They wear the same pair every day.
We buy our youngest a new pair of sneakers but we reuse all the dress shoes, snow boots, rain boots etc. from our oldest. I'm not sure if I believe I. The whole shoes mold to your feet thing but I feel like for $100 per year I'd rather have new everyday shoes.
