The tour company is putting together our itinerary for Champagne and they asked if there are any places that we really to visit. The group I'm going with just wants to drink and no one cares where.
I really don't know much about champagne other than I like it
They recommend we do 1 big name house and 2-3 family run houses.
They all sound lovely and I think you should adopt me and take me with. I assume you're choosing from one of those 3 cities? I hear Epernay is nice but Reims has the gorgeous cathedral (if you're not too drunk to do a tad bit of site-seeing).
I'm with you, UW. My champagne knowledge extends to "I like it" and "but not the cheap stuff". I'll be curious to get your reviews on wherever you decide to go!!
Reims and Epernay. Moët in Epernay was a ton of fun. I know I have fancy champagne flutes from there. Let me see if I can find any info in old emails.
Did you do any of the cellar tours? They said that we could tour them, but I don't think we need to tour all of them if none of us are champagne aficionados.

Do you think it's worth touring one?
I'd do one. It was interesting, some of them still have guys that hand turn the bottles!
