does anyone use those Cascade pods in for the dishwasher?

Today when I microwaved a pyrex dish, I felt like I could still smell/taste the dishwashing detergent. Not sure if its just the smell lingering or what. Not appetizing. And the idea that I may have to switch to handwashing bottles again is making me sad. The pods just get everything to sparkling! Maybe I need to switch to high temp wash? Or heavy wash? We do have well water, if that makes a difference. Anyone else have this issue?

I use them and have never noticed lingering detergent. I just run ours on a normal cycle.

I use them. I do not put them in the little detergent trap, but just toss it in the bottom of the dishwasher. I haven't had this issue.

I have used Ecover pods and Finish pods and haven't ever had this problem. Maybe your washer is on the fritz?

I always run on sanitize cycle (which i'm assuming is high temp) and don't seem to have that issue.

I notice it on silicone spatulas and other things, but not other things.

It's a brand new dishwasher, so I am hoping that isn't the issue. Lol

Check the setting on your water heater. It might not be high enough for your dishwasher if it doesn't automatically heat the water to temp coming in. This used to only be a feature on higher end models, not sure what's out there now. It should be at least 120F at the sink nearest your dishwasher. Sometimes it helps to run the water at the tap before starting the machine so that it runs with hot water from the start.
