My mom just did all my dishes. Not even sorry. I will buy her dessert or something tomorrow. We battled an epic illness this week and dishes were just not on the radar.
She also cleans the catbox every time she comes over. I don't have an excuse for that. I just hate doing it.
My ILs insisted on coming over and giving DS a bath tonight. It was glorious! I'm still sick and getting down in the floor to do the bath routine was about the last thing I wanted to do tonight. I told DH we are beyond spoiled.
I realize the point of those group painting with wine places is not to create amazing works of art, but if I want to get drunk with my friends I don't want to pay extra to take home some ugly ass painting. They are all universally awful.
My coworkers are all planning to do this to celebrate a departmental work achievement. I'm so annoyed- can't we just go to happy hour?
YES. And it's like you're trapped until your painting is done. You can't have a drink and duck out of the awkwardness early because then you just paid for a half-finished ugly painting and not just an ugly painting.
I love hibachi but haven't been since we moved back to Cali from FL...almost 3 years ago.
Also, some really good friends of ours are opening a paint and wine place locally. I'm really worried about how it will do. I think those places are just a fad obviously they think they can make some money off it. I see a few horrid paintings in my future. :/
I'm a vacation snob and find it really hard to get excited for domestic vacations. Which is dumb because I know there are a lot of cool things in the US, it just doesn't feel like a true vacation to me unless I'm worried about passports, vaccinations, exchange rates, another language, etc. Everything else is like a weekend trip, which for some inexplicable reason is just not the same.
Someone remind me later to post a pic of DH's prized lime painting he made when he was randomly into painting for 2 weeks.
I have never been to one of these painting places, but we have done something similar at my extended family's annual girls' weekend. H said we couldn't hang them up because they look like they were done by a six-year-old. I said fine, I'm hanging them in the nursery. LOL
My ILs started buying it and forgot to pause their auto delivery and wound up with 3 bags at once. They gave me a partially used bag so i could try it. I'm making a mocha shake with it tomorrow (I have the chocolate flavor). I'll let you know how it goes. I will never buy it though because holy cow is it expensive.
Yea it's pricey!! Def let me know what you think. I'm getting sucked in and I know H will just kill me if i order it.
So it tasted good this morning. I blended one scoop with 1 cup of coffee and ice like they recommend, and I thought it was a tad bitter (but I don't like black coffee) so I added a half cup of milk. That made it perfect. I log calories in MFP and it ended up being the exact same calories as my breakfast yesterday (Quaker apple cinnamon instant oatmeal packet with 1% milk and English breakfast tea) but doubled my protein count and halved my carbs. However, I got hungry and exactly the same time (11am) so it's not like it's more filling than my usual breakfast - but it's equally filling if that makes sense? Maybe if I put more in with the shakeology like banana and/or peanut butter then it'd last longer, but then I'm obviously upping the calorie content a lot.
Sorry for the rambles. In summary, it tasted good, but I don't think it's worth the money. Maybe over long term the increased nutrients and protein would help slim me up, but I don't see how it's any better than any other (much cheaper) protein powder.
Between being sick and work deadlines, DD has watched way too much tv this week. I've been trying to work and lounge and clean this morning (DH is OOT, boo) and I'm a little annoyed that she is over the tv. I am tired, have a headache, and don't feel like going to the park. I don't wanna parent today, I wanna lay around!
kategm that makes sense. So you still basically have to make the whole smoothie. I can do that on Pinterest!
You can just mix it with water for a quick protein shake, but they recommend blending it with ice to make it a better texture. DH had it yesterday with just water and said it was no different than the normal protein powder we usually buy. You don't have to make it into a smoothie, but most people do.
I'm using the water damage as an excuse to toss a bunch of the random crap mom has bought. We have like four pieces of furniture for storing shoes. We do not have that many shoes.

I make mine with peanut butter I and it's really good that way. Definitely pricey but I do feel great when I'm taking it. I use it for lunch and it has definitely helped me stay away from, fast food on my lunch break.
