How long did it take you to improve? I was given some exercises to do at home and it has been two weeks since I started doing them and my shoulder still hurts a lot. I know I am early in the healing process but it so frustrating. The pain started in december and was getting better but I slipped on the stairs while holding the baby and could only use the side that is injured to grab on to the stair and it pulled it more. I am hoping to avoid surgery....

DH had a small tear in his and with backing off on certain exercises and working with out chiro (a PT is great too) he was able to avoid surgery. 2-3 months sounds about right.

I am dealing with a shoulder soft tissue injury. Happened in the first week of November and still not better. Doc said it takes 3 months to heal 50%. I think it's less painful now than it was, but it still hurts quite a bit and I'm fairly limited in my exercising. So depressing. All you can do is rest it and be good to it, unfortunately. And keep up with an anti-inflammatory regimen.
