Has anyone ever tried it?? Shopping used to be fun. Now, I only have fun when I'm shopping for others, which is great until I look at my own wardrobe and go, "Huh. I have nothing to wear that I feel great in." It has nothing to do with size or style; I am just overwhelmed by buying myself clothes right now, but I do really need new pieces.
I'm feeling the laziest I've ever felt, and even simply shopping online is not going to appease me right now lol
I want someone to shop online FOR me. (maybe)
Soooo, worth it?? Anyone? This is probably a stupid, passing idea. But humor me. (kiss)
Ha, someone on ML also got Mavi jeans from Stitch Fix and said they're trying to resurrect the brand. They were my favorite in college!
My sister got a shipment from her MIL for Christmas. She kept one sweater and one necklace, and the rest did not work for her at all. I remember reading on S&B that it really depends on how good the "stylist" you get is.
I enjoy shopping for myself (just ask my H, lol) so I've never wanted to try it, though I suppose it would help me branch out from my usual brands/stores. If I wanted a personal shopper, though, I'd probably stick to Nordstrom. I'd rather be able to try things on and/or reject them on the spot rather than having to keep returning shipments.

I've received a couple of boxes and overall like the idea. There were 2 boxes where I didn't keep anything - one month nothing was really my style and another month the couple of things I liked didn't fit properly. I actually kept one pair of Mavi jeans (also wore them a really, really long time ago) and they are my favorite skinny jeans. They're stretchy, but don't stretch out after one wear and the rise is higher which helps with muffin top.
I also did a Nordstrom stylist last year before springtime and had a great experience. The stylist and I emailed a few times re: any specific items I had in mind, sizes, general style, etc. and she had a few whole outfits picked and in a dressing room already. I tried everything on and gave feedback. She was able to pull different things based on what I liked.
I do it. I've gotten some really great pieces in my boxes and I've also gotten some overpriced crap. Last month I got this fantastic skirt that I was ready to keep until I saw they wanted almost $80 for it. I laughed a lot and put it in the return bag. To me it's worth the $20 risk to get a great piece, but I also understand why some didn't like it.
I've been doing it for a few months, and have really liked some stuff, and have really not liked others. You can put in your price ranges, and they usually do the higher end of those, so keep that in mind. I usually end up keeping a couple of things per box. Only once did I send an entire box back, and that was because nothing fit.
I've been getting them every month, and always get the same stylist, so am really feeling a groove. One of my co-workers gets hers more sporadically, and always gets a different stylist, which she doesn't like as much.
I've gotten lots of compliments on my stuff, and really enjoy it so far.
I have gotten five boxes now and I just put my subscription on hold. I signed up because I never have time to shop and I hate shopping anyway. I am also really bad at picking clothes for myself. I am afraid to buy bold, fun things. So I wear a lot of black and gray. I asked for punchy pieces to brighten my work wordrobe. I got some of that. But I also got a lot of "weekend wear" or things that weren't conservative enough for my work place, despite telling them I needed knee length skirts and no cleavage. I got a little frustrated by the end. I might give it one more shot this summer. The service itself is amazing in theory. But they don't seem to listen carefully enough to my instruction.
