My babies have been spitting up like crazy last 2 days. I think the got my cold. Been napping horrible so I had them nap on me. Been asleep 2 1/2 hours! I'm hoping they still sleep good tonight.
ETA: I'd call the doctor if the fever lasts more than 3 days, goes over 104, or other symptoms develop.
This is the guide our pedi gives their patients. Hope C feels better swizz!
I want to hurt my H for introducing DS to Elmo's World last week before he went OOT. All DS wants is to watch the balls episode and has a meltdown if he sees my phone.
Ds is still napping so it seems silly to post in an evening post, it isn't even 3 pm here yet.. But! I picked him up early from daycare to give him a chance to get a good nap in bc he has a gross cold and it worked. Going on three hours! And I've spent the entire time in the couch napping and watching house hunters on Netflix. He usually only naps an hour at daycare so I'm glad I was able to finish up my work quickly.
He was eating lunch when I got there so I sat with him while he finished. I watched him willingly eat green beans!!!!!! It's a miracle!

The kids are at the IL's from now until SUNDAY MORNING!!!!
DH and I are hosting a super bowl party, so sadly most of of our kid free time will be cleaning and shopping. DH has to take down the outdoor Xmas lights too, lol.
We had an awesome kid free day! I definitely felt super old though when we walked over to see the chapel where we were married. Nothing like walking amongst all the Harvard undergrads to remind me I'm old lol
DD1 is a first year Daisy Girl Scout and I was dreading selling cookies, but it is seriously one of the easiest things I've ever done. I get her dolled up, put her uniform on, I have my 3 year old push a little dolly stroller full of cookie boxes, and then she goes to the door and does her spiel. Every single person who has answered the door has bought some. I am amazed. I have a feeling it's not so easy for the older girls.
DS1 had an epic meltdown tonight because I tried to put him to bed instead of H. This was after I had gotten him out of the car and not Daddy and then after I had tried to change his diaper and not Daddy etc etc. At some point in the past year, maybe even year and a half he has started to hate me. Or it feels that way at least.
Ugh. I think chickens987 can sympathize right? Anyone else?
I am sorry that is hard. Has it gotten worse since DS2 was born? Maybe you two can go out to lunch someplace fun?

Oh yes. I go to "help" with bedtime and she screams at me "back! Back!" Even if I'm already all the way across the room
We made it through H being OOT just fine, so clearly she doesn't actually hate me. I'm just chopped liver when he's around.
I need to come up with strategies to deal, because even when I tell her she's hurting my feelings she doesn't seem to care.
I am sitting here eating my second (small) piece of cookie cake, while I get my new Fitbit set up. Yay, DH got me the Fitbit I wanted. Fuck, now I really have to exercise and stuff.

We're starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel with the daddy preference. DD1 is starting to want to cuddle with me even if DH is around and have meltdowns if we aren't both with her.
But I love the daddy preference when the big full body meltdowns occur.
DH and I leave for vacation this weekend. DS3 (2yo) developed a fever today. No other specific symptoms. But lethargic and not eating (I think all he ate today was a handful of raisins, a few strawberries, and a couple of crackers). WTF. We are going a long way away and for my sanity I really needed everybody to be healthy when we left. Anybody else left a sick kid to go on vacation? Tips?
H and my allergies are acting up and we're both miserable.
J didn't have a fever (99.5) when I put him to be and gave him Motrin for his ears. Now his fever is 100.6. Shouldn't it be going down? Ugh. Sick babies make me so sad.
Daycare taught C to respond to "what does a heart mean?" with "I loooooove you!" It's so cute.
Also he's learned to say "gosh!" My mom sent him a big brother card with some Mickey stickers in it and he was counting them going "one, two, THREE Mickeys! Oh gosh!"
