I got an e-mail about fraudulent charges today. Three of them were outright denied; one for 100 bucks went through and was pending, so I flagged it as fraudulent. I called BoA and they said our new card is on the way, this account was suspended immediately, and there is nothing else we have to do.
In 11 years as a credit card holder, I've never had this happen (though I understand it happens frequently). I asked the woman how we could prove that last charge was fraudulent, and she said she did not know/was not involved with the investigation, but we'd get a letter soon detailing their findings.
Has anyone been through this before? Are chances good that since three previous charges were denied, they will also find this one fraudulent? If they don't and want us to pay it, what recourse do I have?
That happened to us and we noticed it weeks later. They still removed the charges. It's a pain in the ass, but I've never had issues with the CC companies.

BofA is really good about handling things. You probably will have to call next week, but I will do the truffle shuffle & post it here if they make you pay for it.
I've never had an issue with the credit card companies when disputing a fraudulent charge. I've had it happen so far 3 different times. Usually at that point the card is closed and the fraud department takes over, they reverse the charges and I was never liable for any of the purchases. I know recently (my last fraud activity was just in November) I received a letter to verify the last few days purchases to make sure they were valid purchases and if not to call and dispute.

OK it makes me feel better to hear that they will most likely just reverse that charge and we won't have any trouble. It's more of a pain in the ass than anything.
