Can someone explain this weeks scandal to me?

What the hell is going on? I almost lost interes in the show after this one episode.

I thought it was a brilliant abduction plan and I am fascinated that Shonda Rimes is capable of thinking like a terrorist.

I mean, that's the only explanation I can come up with for that mess.

I hated it. Episodes where we just watch one character imprisoned or in captivity like that bore me, and they need to get back to what they did at the beginning of the show (and what they had started doing again this season) where they take on one case each episode. That is when the show was really good IMO. I hope they wrap this story line up quickly.

So, what annoyed me -

First, I immediately knew the other captive was a bad guy. (Was ANYONE shocked when he took off the mask?)

Second, why did she drop the gun when she got the doors opened?

Third, ALL THAT to have her tell them "the President will stop at NOTHING to get me back". THAT was the intel they needed from her? If the VP is behind this, HE ALREADY KNOWS THAT.

I really hope this doesn't draw out past more than one more episode.

The more I think about it, the more this episode just makes me angry. It was DUMB.  

Although the one smart part was when they grabbed her from her apartment and went into the OTHER apartment.

Yeah I called him as a bad guy right away. If it occurred to me no way should it not occur to Oliva freakin Pope.

I tried to watch this as I was falling asleep last night and I couldn't get past the first 5 minutes so I was confused. It was just the other apartment across the hall right?

When they first grabbed her, they ran into the apartment across the hall. They were dressed as EMTs and they killed the woman in the apartment and took her and Olivia out in a body bag.

But she was held captive in some big warehouse.
