Would you prefer 10a-12p, 10:30a-12:30p or 11a-1p? DS is fine with any of these times. We are inviting some kids around 2 and a few older ones. I plan to serve lunch & cake. The party is at a local firehouse. The kids will be able to run around, check out some gear, and go inside the fire truck.
10 or 10:30 would be ideal because we'd be home in time for nap (typically noon), but if she's distracted and having fun, she'll rally for an hour and pass out on the car ride home. We'd go at any of those times, but possibly duck out a little early if we were headed to a meltdown at 1:00.
IIRC, we did 10-noon, but we served brunch food instead of lunch food. I'd do 11-1 if you're doing lunch.
ETA: But as a guest, we would have preferred 10-noon or 10:30-12:30 because DD usually started her nap around 12:30 when she was 2, so her mood was unpredictable after that.
I'm really undecided about the food. They don't have a kitchen so I would like to keep it simple. I was thinking pizza & yogurt. Maybe brunch would work.

Are you feeding adults, too?
If you do pizza, salad is easy to assemble without a kitchen. Or a veggie and fruit tray. (I have PTSD from years of my SIL serving only super salty pizza hut pizza + breadsticks and chips, pretzels, and cheese puffs at every.single.party.)
We did 10:00 (our other options were during DD's nap time). It worked out perfectly. The kids played at the kids gym until about 11/11:15 then we had lunch and cupcakes, with the party officially ending at non. By 11, they were ready for lunch.
ETA: I chose the time that worked best for my child, which is what I always do. After all, the party is for her so I want her to be at her best to enjoy it!

Yes, I'll be feeding adults too. I'll probably do a salad, veggie tray, and a fruit tray. And goldfish of course. I was thinking about having yogurt and/or buttered pasta in case the kids don't all like pizza (DS only recently started eating it). I wasn't sure if 11a was too early for lunch. DS normally eats at 11:30a.
I'd be fine with any of those times. We did a brunch a few weeks ago for DD's 2nd, and it was 11-2. We probably would have started earlier if we didn't have family coming in from out of town.
