Totally random...
An hour ago my lights were fine. Then I look up and the clock is flashing, lights won't turn on in that part of the house, etc. The breaker tripped. I have no idea why, most things on that circuit weren't even on. I called my handyman and he said not to worry about it but now I'm running over an hour late for work. Thankfully no one at work will care.
I've been having really bad dreams lately. Inexplicably bad, like dreaming about beatings and losing children - and I don't have children. It is weird and creepy. Plus I'm tired because I'm sleeping poorly because of the dreams.
On a positive note I got some very nice match emails from guys I might actually want to meet. So we'll see where that goes.
OK now to clean up from the breaker tripping splashing through puddles and get ready for work properly.
Weird, but audette is probably right, just a quick "brown out". It seems like when I am under stress, my dreams are so horrible and violent. When you need rest the most, you end up feeling more exhausted. I hope you have a peaceful and restful night soon. GL with your dating!
audette Sending good vibes that you all get to move on quickly. You deserve it!
Boo to the lights and dreams, but yay for the guys explorer2001!
I am already crossing things off my to do list and it is only 730 here. I have ton more to do this weekend, but I am finally feeling in control after a few out of control weeks.
It's my birthday :-) despite a scream session from my 2nyear old DD from 3-3am, we're having a fun morning, Costco, target, AMAZING breakfast at a french bakery and now a nap for everyone.

Happy Birthday!! We're birthday twins!
Enjoying my birthday at the pub. DH got us tickets to a cooking competition dinner on Monday. It's an Iron Chef type thing where the chefs have to use a mystery ingredient in their dishes and then the diners judge to determine the winner. Best birthday gift ever!

I might need to turn in my MM card after today. DH wouldn't even let me see the receipt from Costco, and then we went to Target. I blame my family visiting next weekend. we're finally getting a bunch of the things we need so the house looks slightly more like two responsible adults live there.
Happy Birthday, ladies!! @idaholakelady and sarapocalypse! Yay!
My random...while I spent my Saturday day like a construction worker in my basement, I am spending my evening in true DINK fashion. Dressed up for a date night in, appetizer in the oven, filets marinating in olive oil and salt and pepper, and an amazing red wine...with some classical playing in the background. I feel human again!! Happy Saturday everyone
I had a much needed play date with 2 close girlfriends. The kind of friends that I have had for 20+ years, who will let you cry on their shoulder in their kitchen.
Now I plan to get the kids in bed early and watch the Dateline and 20/20 that I recorded last night.
I'm addicted to Zulily. But, I just bought 5 bras for $53 (and I have gigantic boobs, lane Bryant size) and some converse type shoes for DD for $8.99 each.
Do you ever just want to not say thank you to DH for doing something basic? No, just me.
Not just you. H and I had this talk a few weeks ago. I also don't want to hear him whine about doing the most basic stuff. I do so much of the house work and dog care that I have zero patience when he complains about doing yard work, etc.

The issue was today dog care, and I was like, are you kidding me, with "the look". It didn't end well for him.

Happy Birthday @idaholakelady and@sarahpocolypse! It's a great day to be born--my mentor from college, friends' darling son and my mom all share today with you!

Glad you had a good time with your girlfriends.
Be be oprapred for your BP to go up as you watch 20/20.

Oh the look.
Honestly, this is a big issue for me when thinking about having kids. We are trying, but I am terrified my life will be filled with him whining and needing acknowledgment while I care for a kid and two dogs. I am not in the business of making problems, but it does worry me.

You have me intrigued! Maybe I should watch it first so I have a better chance of staying awake for the whole thing.

Yes, I've thought about this too, though we're likely not having any at this point.

You're right, Friday night's 20/20 did make my blood boil! That poor girl. One night of poor decision after poor decision will affect the lives of those 5 young people forever.
The program was about a sexual assault at the University of Vanderbilt.

Every week, without fail, DH complains that it's trash day. It takes about 15 minutes to do and a lot of time I end up doing all of it, yet he still complains.
90% of the time, DH leaves a cat-getting-sick-result-on-the-carpet for me to clean up. He only cleans them up if I'm out of town or in bed for the night. We got the cats after we got married - they're "ours" not "mine". Luckily, I don't have an interest in having kids.
