I just can't with this whole story. Imagine you are there having your child's party and shots ring out. How could the mother even? I mean...Gosh dang.
But I'm posting b/c I'm confused with the details. Why was the woman the only one charged and not the boyfriend who it seems to be apparent did the actual shooting?
Our Chuckee Cheese just got so much nicer. All redone & clean. I cannot fathom what this mother was thinking having her daughters' father shot in front of her at a birthday party.
Also our ChEC also doesn't let in adults without kids & you have to be on the party list to enter a birthday party ( so like grandparents etc) I don't know ho he forced his way in?
And that's what I have against that place. I don't know, it attracts conflicted people. My friend witnessed a fight complete with cursing between adults right in front of all the children.

Well, it's not exactly a high security establishment. The ones I've been to for bday parties have a college kid or teenager at the little check-in station to stamp your hand. I'm guessing if dudes with guns came bursting through the doors, it wouldn't be all that difficult to push the employee out of the way. Or they could just start shooting from across the restaurant after walking in the front door, not even getting past the little check-in person. Ours are all just open.
Regardless, that's completely horrifying. That poor little girl, and other guests.
We just had out DDs4 bday at one and we loved it. We all had a very positive experience. I didn't realize Chuck E Cheese's are considered troubled spots. Maybe it depends on the area?

I live in FL, everything here is more troubled than anywhere else.

The only thing I feel conflicted about in regards to cec is whether or not I want to deal with an overstimulated kid afterwards. So I'm not entirely clear on that first statement of yours. As for the second, there are plenty of throw downs at suburban kids soccer matches, so if you're alluding to it being trashy or low brow, well, people get stupid everywhere.

I'm not alluding to anything. People at our Chuck E Cheese get into fights all the time. They push people out of the way, they steal peoples tokens and tickets, and there's always trouble. It's not in a bad neighborhood, but it seems to bring out the worst people.
If y'all are attempting to say Chuck E Cheese is trashy, just say it. Lol
Lol. You couldn't pay me to go on a Saturday afternoon, but we like taking our kids there randomly during the week. It's often empty, all games are one token, and the pizza beats Papa Johns any day.

Oh see ours is like around a corner. It's like a club. Lol! There is the crotchtiest old lady there too, so I guess I am picturing her& our set up. They would have had to matrix style shoot in ours. I guess others are more open though.

We go for toddler time on weekday mornings. You get a cup of healthy snacks off the salad bar for free & we use the 100 tokens for 20 dollars coupon so we have like a million tokens.

I live in a suburb sometimes knows as more "affluent" compared some in the area (but definitely not at the "top"). Our chuck-e-cheese was fine the one time I went there a few years back. No questionable looking characters, food was decent enough, kids had fun. However even still, I do feel like I hear negative perceptions about it from others in the area. I don't know why exactly, but there ya have it.
