I was was disgnosed on Thurs and put on tamiflu. I'm feeling better (less congestion, less coughing, milder headaches, no chills, some appetite back).... But just so damn tired. I took a three hour nap yesterday and barely left the couch. And I went to bed at 9 last night and am already feeling like I'll need a nap today.
This is is kicking my ass. Tell me when you were normal again.
I think mine started last Saturday. It was just yesterday I started to have more energy. I'm pushing myself though because I'm tired of being tired and not doing anything. Stupid I know. Plus I feel badly about pushing everything off on my husband. Still congested, though not as bad ,and still headaches too. But I just started with a toothache too (yay!) so I can't be sure my headache is not related to that. I also feel like I may have an ear infection.
It was too late for Tamiflu for me, but I did get the flu shot earlier this year.
I came down with it on a Sunday morning, and went to the doctor first thing Monday and started Tamiflu right away. By Tuesday night, my symptoms other than fatigue were mostly gone. My older son came down with it Monday night, by Tuesday afternoon he was just fine. (He had already started the Tamiflu preventatively by the time he started exhibiting symptoms.)
I went back to work on Friday, and by the following Monday, I could get through a day without being exhausted. It took another week and a half for my cough to subside, but the doctor thought I also had bronchitis.
I'm pretty sure I had flu, but the CNP who saw me didn't bother to test since it was too late for Tamiflu. It went through Chez Auntie thusly-
DS picked it up at work, we assume. 12 hour shifts working the Santa trains- he missed 3 days of work and then was beat up but functional for another week. His cough lasted about 3 weeks.
DH caught it from DS and was basically unconscious for 3 days, useless for another week and operating at 50% for the next 2 weeks. He got sick about a week before Christmas and still has a residual cough from time to time.
I came down with it Christmas Eve. I was really sick for about 3 days, whiny and miserable for another 5 days (I came down with pink eye during this part) and then not so perky for another week. DH and I recovered about the same time. I still have a cough in the morning.
Mine was 2 years ago - and it was a solid week. And I didn't even have a bad case. I could do some things - like sit up, walk, eat a little, I drove DD to child care. But I would sleep the rest of the day/night. That lasted for days, even if I was better.
I got diagnosed on Thursday too. After 2 doses of Tamiflu on Thursday I was feeling a tad better by evening. Friday I felt much better but Saturday I felt like a new person. Still feeling tired and cough & congestion still. I'm guessing it'll be a few more days give or take until I'm back to normal.
I came down with it last Saturday, started tamiflu Sunday. By Wednesday my temp was down to 99 but I still felt pretty crappy. It's now 8 days out and I just feel like I have a bad cold. Today was the first day that I missed a dose of DayQuil. This last week was the sickest I'd been since I had mono in college.
My poor girls are both pretty miserable. C's fever has spiked up to 104.4 and K is not too far off. This is going to be a tough week.
I felt like a truck hit me. Cough, sore throat, headache. I had chills the first night that had me shaking under sheets but no fever. I'm sorry she's sick sick babes are the worst
My son had it. H and I were put on Tamiflu to prevent it. Neither of us got sick. DS was on Tamiflu. No fever after 2 days. He still has a wicked stuffy nose and cough though. It's been 15 days.

The worst achy body I've ever felt, as in my entire body from head to toe, cough, congestion, really bad chills. I never got a fever but I think a lot of people are getting a fever.
