I agree with Sue Sue. Breathing is pretty crucial and if you already feel like this, you don't want it to progress. Go now and see if it's something that can be taken care of before it gets worse.

Yes, so go today so that you're well on your way to being recovered!  I had a pulmonary embolism (PE) - blood clot in my lungs.  I don't remember a cough, but the biggest thing was that I could not take a deep breath.  I also had a sharp pain in my back when breathing, but it was deep; not a surface pain.  I thought it was a pulled muscle, thankfully my H made me mention it at my 5-day postpartum appointment.

I wou;d get it checked out. Even a drink NurseWife knows that anything that is compramizing breathing is something that should be checked out. I'm a touch worried about pneumonia. Are you fevered? How laboured is your breathing? If you go to ER, they will most likely give you a ventolin breathing treatment to clear out your lungs, and delpeniding how they sound on a stethoscope, prescribe you an atibuitic like Biaxin. It's great, and clears lung infections out stat with the help of ventolin! Hope you are feeling better soon nuggetbrain
