For those that let their cat sleep with them at night, has your cat accidentally ever left you a #2 gift?
Now the mystery part. I sleep in panties, flannel pants, and a large, loose long-sleeve t-shirt. My two cats sleep on my side of the bed. I woke up this morning, used the bathroom, brushed my teeth, changed into a different pair of flannel pants, changed into a bra and short sleeve shirt, and ran two miles on the treadmill. As I'm taking off both bottoms to get into the shower, something rolls into my left hand that is about almond sized. I thought maybe chocolate, but took a sniff and knew exactly what it was. *shudders*
So I don't know where it came from, where it was, how long it was there, and who it came from. I'm just going to pretend it never happened and try to forget all about it as much as possible.
Oh.my.gawd. (And I did laugh, so thanks for that.) To answer, we have two cats and yes they sleep with us but no turds. Last night they got in a fight at 3am because boy kitty jumped on girl kitty so that was fun. One has puked on the bed while I was in it. No kitty turds yet, but holy shit, you poor thing! That sucks.
No. My dogs do sometime though. One has sleep peed a little a few times. And Saturday she jumped in bed and immediately sprinkled everywhere. Thankfully just on the blankets.
We've never found a whole poop, but sometimes when we're not home they've wiped their ass on the sheets. Ugh. Luckily we have a lot of extra bed linens.
Oh, and a couple times our female cat has sprayed her anal glands on the bed when we're in it. That's super frustrating at midnight when you're incredibly tired and have to get up and change all the sheets.

Oh my god. I'm so sorry! I would do the same thing - pretend this never happened.
We have never had a poop incident, thankfully. They have vomited on the bedspread a couple of times while we were at work.
And I do have a funny (now, to me) story about spunky kitty, in case our epic search wasn't proof enough our love for that cat.
When we moved to our current city, the car ride and new environment were apparently very traumatic for him. Right after we moved in, spunky kitty peed ON DH's head while DH was sleeping. Twice.
I try not to let them on the sheets, but they sneak up there in the middle of the night, otherwise I make them lay on the blanket.
We actually keep a second blanket on our bed when we aren't in it, to minimize cat hair and puke soaking through to our main duvet/comforter. Someone likes to puke on the bed when we're at work occasionally.
I think the worst bed incident we ever had was when one of them pissed on me. I was fast asleep with my back towards the outside of the bed, and woke up to something warm running down my back. And the little bastard knew what she was doing, she took off running and hid somewhere. It was so odd because we never had any major urine issues or anything. I think it was a revenge piss for always kicking her out of bed.
My make cat will not puke on the floor. He ALWAYS has to move to a carpeted area, or on top of a blanket. Even if I see him gagging and I move him to a non-carpeted area, he'll immediately run back to the carpet.
I wonder if their instincts make them look for a "grassy" area, where carpet = grass.
Thank you everyone. I appreciate the stories that made me laugh. FYI - I'm not saying a word to DH. I cleaned all the sheets today (even the electric blanket and the comforter). I also use $3 fleece blankets from Wal-Mart around the house to try to keep the cat hair contained. While I have woken up to two puking events in the past, for both I had time to throw the cat off the bed before the deed was done.
They sleep with me. We've had a poop incident. Suddenly my living room smelled awful. I found a piece of poop on the second shelf of a bookcase. I have no clue how or why.
I shouldn't have opened this thread. I've never had a cat before. But we are cat sitting for the next three months and I am told that kitty likes to sleep on the bed.
