I'm dying laughing. Someone asked on one of my FB groups if she should just trade in her car because when she moved states she didn't get new license plates. The license plates have lapsed (since JUNE of last year). Since that complicates things some, her husband said they should just buy a new car.
I need to find something cute to wear for Valentine's Day. The H is going all out doing nice stuff, and I need to have on a nice dress so he can say "Ok. You can get it."

I've seen pictures of you. I don't think there are any worries here. lol

It's the reaction I go for. He doesn't care, but he does this thing where when I KNOW I look good. I get an up down glance and a smirk. Then he says "You can get it." I live for that. LOL

Ooooo
I'm thinking this might be hot. WHBM - I'm cold natured, so I shy away sleeveless dresses if at all possible. Plus, we've gotta do some walking downtown and I don't know how cold it will be.

I really want a new phone. I'm considering buying one without running it past DH. Cause I know he'll be all "wait till baby h is out of the baby room!" Stupid financial responsibility.
Creepy noises-- bangs that sounded for all the world like footsteps / an intruder in the attic-- woke me at 3 am. I have been up since prowling the house while brandishing my kid's hockey stick
Ah, it's just Gus the Friendly Ghost (I love this book).

That's the solution?! Buy a new car?!
Wait, NO! That is never and would never be a solution to the lapse license problem... you just pay like a hundred or $200 extra and license your car! That is some FWP there!
ETA: When I was in college I did what seemed interesting and forgot to ask anyone what they thought. Or I might have been high and in the woods mtn biking half that time also and so doing what I was passionate about just "felt good." I love that the advice was that boomers were going to be like their parents and start taking cruises and heading to Mexico for funsies with their friends at age 50. That was some wishful thinking on some boomer advisor's part!

Let's see, thousands of dollars for a new car, or a couple of hundred. Which is the best choice here...
I have a sore throat. I was hoping it was just from sleeping with my mouth open or something, but it's getting worse instead of better and I'm starting to feel achy.
THIS IS NOT HAPPENING. I REFUSE TO ALLOW IT.
It's probably just allergies. Just keep repeating that over and over.
My sinuses are starting to throb. And my throat is worse. And I've been sneezing all morning. THIS IS NOT GOOD.
Unless there is a cat hiding under my desk, there's no way this is my allergies.
H's company is so fucked up. They didn't get paid for January and the GM didn't pay for anyone's monthly parking. BUT instead of telling anyone he went home early on Friday and then called out sick yesterday and today. So no one knew they weren't getting paid which is SO shitty of him. Especially for the young, single guys who don't have a spouse or savings account to fall back on. And the guys all lost their monthly parking spots. Gah! H would do so much better on his own, but he just won't make the leap
I'm sorry this is my third post here about being sick, but I need to vent. I am miserable right now. I spent half the night and morning in the bathroom throwing up and other fun, now I'm running a fever and have been freezing cold for the last few hours no matter how many blankets, and everything everything hurts so much I can't sleep for more than a few minutes. First H gave me attitude about me asking him to pick up ginger ale (which, if he did it, he didn't bother to bring it upstairs to me, so I don't even know if he did), then he gave me attitude about having to pick up one kid. He comes home, both the kids are all over me, I'm in that feverish "oh my god don't touch me anywhere" state, I finally come downstairs....and he is taking an effing nap on the couch.

You need the pitchfork squad? Cause that's utter bullshit right there.

Totally not the same, but your conversation with downtoearth reminded me of a co-worker who moved here from Los Angeles. On her first day of work, we had the following conversation:
Me: So, you're from LA? What made you move here? Her: Well, my car died and I didn't want to buy another car so I decided to just move to New York where I didn't need one. Me: Oh.

Wait, you can just not pay your employees? Oh, that is terrible for everyone, but especially for the employees who live paycheck to paycheck (are they all young, single guys?).
