Wow you were a trooper. How is your back now? I had bad spasms during birth too which you are right hurt more than the contractions and ended up doing pt many months later (it really helped)

Never felt it again after the c section. Just some residual soreness from the muscles being so tense for so long.
LittleOlives labor and delivery was almost exactly the same 2 years ago. We were due 1/21, went in for induction on 1/27, spent 2 days in labor and had the baby on 1/29. Give yourself some rest, and enjoy time with your sweet baby!
Congratulations! She's beautiful! Way to go Mama! You endured such a long labor. Glad you both are doing well and P is here safe and healthy!
Reading your story brought back lots of memories from my induction. Glad to hear the foley bulb worked for you (I went home and back the next day with only 1.5 cm dilated and 60% effaced...so frustrating). They started cytotec and within 2 hours C was in distress during contractions that I wasn't even feeling. Same experience as you...entire medical team rushing in, lying on my side, oxygen on my face, etc. After three times of this happening we were told I was going to have an emergency c-section. It was truly scary...the relief when he was finally out and crying is indescribeable.

It was a very tense few minutes for sure. I'd totally forgotten the oxygen but they did that too. There was one doctor that I happened to know from 1 random appt in my OBs office on call at the time and she stood by my head while the other docs worked and tried to calm me down. The staff at my hospital clearly knew what they were doing, it was almost impressive.
