I have some (feel free to ignore if you don't want to answer me) -
bunch - Are you still friends with your friend who has a daughter (and then maybe a son?) who is older than your DD1? I think she was going through a rough patch at one point?
@starry - Do you see yourselves going to Disney yearly? Banking your points and going every other year? Selling your points some years?
@notquiteblushing - do you have a name yet for DS2?

Did we ever get an update on that poster who was having problems with her daycare provider that wanted to let the baby CIO and start adding cereal in the bottles?

ssmjlm I confess I missed the original drama with your SIL so now when you talk about it I don't really know what went down. I assume she is a dirty pirate whore but what else should I know?

Well there is a lot of backstory and whatnot, but the main thing was spring of 2013 just before I was due BIL found out his daughter wasn't biologically his. SIL pushed him to cut all ties, sue ex-wife in court for back child support, and basically goes around telling everyone about her "boys" completely forgetting that her husband raised a daughter for 14 years and she was supposed to be a step-mom to her for 5 of those.

kdubs923 - yes! We plan to be Team Green again. I'm feeling a little more anxious about knowing this time and could potentially be swayed (but probably not). H is very solidly Team Green.

Yay! When #2 rolls around, we think we'll be Team Green again. But I could be persuaded to find out or wouldn't be sad if an u/s tech slipped and told us the sex.
I feel like I remember your first pregnancy more than others because you were due a few months before me, were one of the few fellow Team Green-ers (lol) and named your DD the same name we picked if DS was a girl. (sorry to be a stalker!)

I've told H that if this pregnancy is twins I will want to find out but he's not budging. I've just got my fingers crossed it's not twins . So funny since your DS's name is high on my boy names list! We are having so much trouble with names this time - T was pretty much the only name we both loved last time. Luckily we have time! Taking suggestions as well since we obviously have similar taste. You're a New England girl, right? Are you coming to dinner on Sunday?

Oh holy cow! How does your BIL feel about this whole situation?
I think in the back of his mind he feels bad, but he's torn between keeping his wife happy and being a good dad. And unfortunately the wife won.
He claims it's because ex-wife moved a hour away to a better school district, but that's a poor excuse. A hour is nothing, esp since SIL's youngest kid lived with his dad a hour away for years when they were first married (double standard?).
I also believe that my SIL is an emotional abuser and given the amount of debt they have, he couldn't afford to leave her if he wanted to b/c he's so bad with money.

That's really sad, I'm sorry. I can't imagine losing the person I thought was my dad at 14.

Twins! Do they run in your family?
Well, Sam is a good name! It just might start rumors if we both end up with boy & girls both named S & T.

I thought for sure I would want to know the second time since either was really H that wanted it with J. Then when that us tech said twins I said I'm definitely finding out. But then an hour later I said no jk, it's even more fun not knowing now! Although names were hard since we didn't. Know b/g, g/g or b/b.

kdubs923 - Twins don't run in the family (though H has 2 sets of twin siblings via some sort of fertility treatments) but we know quite a few people who recently found out they were having twins at pg#2 so I'm convinced I will too

(Nobody asked me but I don't care, nah nah nah nah.)
I feel like the only thing I need to do for this pregnancy is just separate the neutral clothes from the girl clothes so that things are organized once baby is born. But thankfully with being Team Green the last time, we did end up receiving quite a few neutral clothes so we'll be fine with what we already have if baby is a boy. DD's room is already green just because green is my favorite color anyway, even though the room was done just a few months ago when we already knew she was a girl.
I could have been swayed to find out as well since I was the one who suggested being surprised at delivery the last time, but I am glad DH is dead set on being surprised again. @awinter, I think I might have found out early if this baby were twins so you're a rock star!

Oh man, what a mess! That poor girl too. I can't imagine having a dad for 14 years then him disappearing completely. And WTF to your SIL's youngest living with dad for years when they were first married? She sounds like a peach
Well SIL has 3 kids from 2 marriages. So the oldest 2 she had full time, but the youngest was with his dad full time.
It's just a mess and the kids definitely show personality issues from their home lives.

It definitely helped that we had so many neutral clothes from J. Plus, we put the girls in J's stuff too. It's not like we were out and about much with our 3 under 2 when they were tiny anyways so I couldn't have cared less what they were wearing lol. although, K looked a lot like J to the point where even he will see newborn pictures of her sometimes and say it's him. So it does look a little odd when we have pictures of her in his sleep n plays lol.
With all this twin talk, it seems relevant to say I had a dream last night I had twins. But it wasn't a new pregnancy, it was DS & a girl the same age.
In the dream, I put him down for a nap, and then when he woke up, there were two kids. And in my dream, that was totally normal that kids multiply during naptime.
Maybe I need to POAS because I had the weirdest pregnancy dreams last time.

my coworker just announced yesterday that she is having twins (13 weeks pg).
While I know it is an unpopular decision, I just don't feel right posting a picture of a non-public figure to be ogled at on the internet without his permission. It seems wrong, especially given that it is very likely that he is just a normal guy who works at Target who got caught in the middle of an unsavory rumor. I know--I am no fun. Sorry.

Makes sense. Had you announced that and I missed it? I wouldn't have brought it up had I known.
I mentioned it once when someone else asked, but it is not like I made a formal announcement. I promise I will report here immediately if I ever see him enter the family restroom with female customer, though.
