I didn't expect that either. I'm kind of bummed about it - often babies ruin shows, or make them ridiculous. Like when Rachel had Emma on friends - the baby was just an afterthought in other episodes. The pregnancy is the big surprise and then the writers don't know what to do with the actual baby.

This is how I feel. Sounds like from what I've read, there is a good idea of how Mindy will be while pregnant, but after? I don't know.
What can you tease for the baby-esque issues Mindy will be facing in the coming episodes? KALING: We aren’t done with the season yet, but pregnant Mindy is the most fun version of her yet. This is not a woman who rolls with discomfort and change very well, and it’s especially funny because she is an OB/GYN. Also seeing an unwilling Mindy adjust to her new growing body has been really funny to write.
I was just coming here to see if there was a thread - I needed to talk about this, haha!
At first I was excited. Squee! Baby! How is Mindy going to tell Danny? How is Danny going to tell Ma?
But then...I really wanted Mindy to be able to follow her dreams with the fertility clinic. We all know Danny isn't going to leave NYC. This just throws a wrench into things, doesn't it?
And I will miss Peter, but what was up with his hair last night? Not a good look.
I'm excited to see where they take things. I like the nerdy guy in SF that Mindy's supposed to team up with. You know who I think has worn out his welcome? Jeremy. He's been kind of one-dimensional lately with the whole Lauren thing.

I agree - I feel like his character is kind of faded into the background when Peter arrived. Maybe we will see more of him now though? The cape when he came running from the opera cracked me up though! And I loved when they made him "fat" hahah!

Bumping for this week's episode.
Maybe it's just me and reading too much into things, but this 'pregnancy reveal' episode made me not like Danny much, and I didn't enjoy the episode because of his behavior. He was so dismissive of her, it felt like he never stopped to listen to her, not considering her family, agreeing to take in his sister without mentioning it to Mindy, etc. His mom's reaction was sweet, but with him it felt like OK she's pregnant, NOW I'll pay attention to her, NOW she can be family. ^o)
I totally agree niemand88f! I was very angry with Danny as well. He pulls that crap a lot - excluding her from his inner circle/family. I was waiting for Mindy to call him on the carpet for his behavior but she just kind of let it go or left the room. He definitely deserved a talking to and a nut punch.
I agree niemand88f and meowmaps - Danny was pretty ridiculous in this episode. I was really annoyed that he wasn't considering her to be family - let in the previous episode he bought a house for them? That seems like a complete 180.
