Oh. I don't like that acronym for a children's hospital and it would have freaked me out as a kid.
So, uh, good thing you don't live here then? It's a renowned children's hospital.
@simpledog, is the pedi concerned about head trauma or possible stitches? My DD2 has had stitches twice, and both cuts were fairly small, about the size of a grain of rice. I hope your little guy is ok!
Hope he's ok and you get in and out quickly. DS slipped in the tub around 17 months and hit right below his eyebrow. His dr was concerned about his orbital bone so we had to take him in for X-rays. The worst part was holding him down when he was way past bedtime for those. He ended up being fine though.
Maybe the pedi closes at 6? Not sure why urgent care isn't an option though.

When A fell down the stairs, she cut her head. I called urgent care first and they wouldn't take a child with any kind of head wound.
@simpledog, I hate having to decide whether or not I should take my kids to the Dr. I hope he is okay. Hugs.
That was my thought too. Each place is different. A few years ago I was watching my nephew and he ran into the banister on the stairs and got a pretty good cut on his head. Urgent care had no problem with it except at first when they saw his hand was bloody (from holding it) they thought it was his hand that was cut and they said they wouldn't do that because of all the muscles and intricacies. But a head wound urgent care around here has no issues gluing, stapling, stitching etc.

This is exactly it!
That makes sense. You'll been in good hands there. Hopefully it's just a bump and nothing more serious.
