when is an appropriate time for a true motn thread?

You are def in MOTN territory! My first wakeup is usually between 11:30-1. We are still trying to go to sleep here...we started 1.5 hrs ago:(. It's looking like "one of those nights" and it's just begun.

I'm up because baby toutsuite has decided he wants to play....he has no interest in eating or sleeping. I thought we were making progress on a schedule...how naive of me. He wants me to just hold him and shake a rattle in front of him. As of 20 min ago I entered into bday territory and dh was going to handle all the night wake ups for me...problem is every time dh takes him he screams bloody murder. Looks like me it is...I guess I can't complain though because I'll be going back to work on enough and will certainly miss all these snuggles.

According to the babysitter Miro "projectile vomited" twice, so I left work early to get him. He hasn't thrown up for me, but his cold wakes him up a lot and then makes him mad. We are on wake up one.

Ugh. Hoping it isn't the flu. I'll join you on team paranoid. The baby has an awful cough, but really only coughs at night. I keep looking up whooping cough and listening to audio because I'm so worried about her. :/

Ds2 seems to be re-learning to self soothe, thank goodness. He's woken up twice before 3:30 but this is the first time he's cried more than a minute. Funny how a good day of napping leads to good night sleep.

Been up for an hour and a half with my 10 mo old. She wants only to nurse but I'm out of milk for the moment. Will not take a bottle from either me or DH ( who to his credit was up for about 45 min trying to help...he does not do well MoTN!) I finally dosed her with ibuprofen to see if her teeth are hurting. I'm currently standing up swooshing her back and forth and think I'm making progress. DH said...why find we have a third?!! Lol.

Eta...tried to sit down. No bueno.

A is killing me tonight.

He had a rough time going down. Fed at 7 and 8 i stupidly skipped a dream feed. I fell asleep at around 10:10. He was up at 10:40. Fed him side lying, I woke up at 11:40 with him done and my arm hurting, so I tried to move him back into his rock n play. He woke up and hasn't been back to sleep again since. (It's 12:35 here now). Fed him some more. Now rocking and praying he falls asleep and will sleep until morning.

Up for wake up number 2. This blows. He was only down for 1.5 hours. Who are these magical babies they speak of that sleep 8 hours?. I don't know if I believe it. Either that or I'm insanely jealous

toutsuite- he's supposed to sleep in his RNP but sleeps on me most of the time these days (he doesn't sleep well in the RNP because of his gas pain). Reflux seems to be getting better. We have an appt with a LC today...I talked to her on Monday and she thinks BFing issues (oversupply and fast letdown) are contributong to his issues. Oh, and his stool sample came back negative for dairy intolerance but she thinks he has it based on some symptoms. How about you?

Ugh poor little babe...I hope his gas pain gets better so you can get some sleep. Baby toutsuite is like a whole new baby on the prilosec, gaviscon, and nutramigen. Here is smiling all the time now. I just hope hope hope he put on some weight. We go back to the doctor on Monday for a weight check. Baby T is on the nutramigen for a suspected dairy intolerance. Hope your little one doesn't have that too.

My child has been crying for 45 minutes. After going in and rocking him and putting him back in the crib, DH is finally trying it out. He's not succeeding any more than I was. Poor baby needs to shake this cold and go back to STTN.

Hi ladies! Mind if I join you now that my LO is here?

I'm up with my 3 day old. She's got night and day all kinds of confused right now. More restless than just straight up awake thankfully.

I'm up waiting to pump here in the next 1/2 hr or so. We've been struggling with nursing from nearly to start First feed was wonderful and I was so happy. Then the next was a disaster. While her latch from the outside looked amazing it felt like she was chewing off my nipple. I flat out cried everytime I tried to nurse her. So we went to hand expressing and pumping. I struggled to get her what she needed and did nothing but pump all day yesterday. I had a break down after no sleep, missing pain meds and not even getting the chance to bond with my baby.

Things got better after seeing the LC last night. Got DH and my mom a plan to help and took a small bottle of formula to eliminate 1 pumping session so I could get a couple hrs sleep. I finally got my milk in today and I'm slightly ahead of the game now so I have 3oz extra and a grandma here willing/wanting to feed.
Right now E is sleeping in her swing in the living room (we wanted her used to sleeping in her bassinet) and gets a pacifier when fussy (DH didn't want her to have one ever). Not ideal, but we are in survival mode.

Wow....that got long. Lots for the rest of the MOTN'ers to read, yes? Lol

DS has been up and crying off and on for the past 2.5 hours. I just went in to rock him again and he clawed me neck and I screamed. DH came in and made me leave the room. I feel so horrible that I screamed, that I had to leave and that all of this is happening at all. He's just crawling around his room, screaming & crying. We were just at the pedi on Monday and she said no ear infection, just a bad cold. Wonder if that's changed?

DS woke me up at 2:30, 4:00 & 4:40. DH woke mecupbto ask where the car keys were when I went to bed early because I knew I would be up all night. As a result my night was like 9:00pm sleep 9:45 pm DH wakes me up 1. 10:30pm DH wakes me up 2. 11:30 pm sleep 2:30 am awake. Start to fall back to sleep around 3:45am but back up at 4:00. Up since 4:00.

H & DS are still asleep. DS is sick, but H RAGE!!!!

ugh hate when babies decide that motn pooping is the right thing for them.
My oldest pooped once a wk in her car seat on the way home from dayacare for like a month... Even that mess was better to clean up then motn dirty diaper!

Have you listened to croup? That's pretty common. Good luck!

Teeth? Seriously, whenever DS was just inconsolable and refused to sleep, that is always what it was. Hugs. HOpe you got some sleep.

zarapipe, how is your baby doing? Hope she is staying healthy.
