Awe, I actually really enjoyed it! Just wanted to hear some thoughts on it. I felt it was similar to gone girl with the twist.

Before the epilogue I was curious as to if Mia had "fallen" for her abuser due to the trauma she experienced but it soon became clear she was not mentally stable it begin with!

I also hated Gone Girl, so go figure. IMHO, Mia was ripe to "fall" for the abuser because she was unstable due to the trauma-a PTSD situation.
OT, I think you might like Dear Daughter by Elizabeth Little.
