My apologies to you Karebear if I you think I am being rude. I totally wasn't trying to be and if I was, it was completely unintentional. I didn't even see it like a beer gut till YOU said so. Apparently I woke up on the wrong side of the bed today.. Or agreeing someone else's negative perspective is rude on this board (?).
House--You are blunt in your comments and you come off as rude and insensitive. Whether or not that's your intention is of no consequence. The result is that you offend people.
Cut the shit already.
Done. Like I said.. I wasn't trying to be rude.. I didn't say anything rude. Those were her words and I just agreed to seeing her point of view why she would say that.

Apologizing with the statement "if you think" is not an apology. You were rude, plain and simple. And ya I'm a newbie but in my lurking I've noticed you really have little tact. If you don't like what someone is wearing or they are negative about it then you offer CONSTRUCTIVE comments, nothing about your comment was constructive or kind. Just follow the rule if you don't have anything nice to say then shut your mouth.

If you seriously think that comment was the only thing that makes people think you are rude, then you are delusional. Which I'm starting to believe may very well be the case.
Are you a dude pretending to be a woman? B/c ONLY a dude would think it's not rude to agree with Kare's initial comment about her adorable bump looking like a beer gut b/c "she said it first".
Huh? explain cuz I don't get what it has to do with being a dude. But I will shut up now before I dig my hole deeper.
Ahhhh, this post is making me really uncomfortable.
I think you look great Kare, you're making way more of an effort than I was in dressing up the in between bump. I was wearing yoga pants and tanks. You outfits look awesome everyday
I didn't read 999's comment as rude just maybe a tad insensitive.
omg sitting at my desk dying laughing for so many reasons.
kare- I was talking to my friends about the Duggars this am! I was wondering how she could have so many pregnancies, because that's a lot of time without booze. But then my friend reminded me she doesn't drink so she doesn't know what she's missing.
She's missing a lot.
plummy- love your outfit. and your sense of humor.

Take full responsibility of your actions, don't try to pawn off some of the blame onto others. It's all you.
I thought I did by apologizing!
But just so I don't offend anyone in near future, is it rude to agree with someone else's negative perspective???
Renata, please tell me what else you thought was rude? Since you said it wasn't my first rude comment? I would like to not be perceived as rude or insensitive, ever!

Same here, I like it puppies and rainbows...
While a hell of a lot of other things annoy me (read: constant PSAs, etc), I seem to remember a post of a pic of a pregnant lady's style (or a maternity dress) where the skinny belt was under her belly and the unanimous response by everyone was that it would look better styled above the belly? Maybe I'm crazy for remembering. Either way, Kare's bump is obviously cute. I just feel like it's kind of on the level of preference on a shirt being tucked in or not. It's not a huge deal. Some like it tucked in, some don't and I don't see how it's a big deal to state that it would look better one way or the other.
Point being, of all the things House has said, this one doesn't strike me as the one that should start the drama...

:Y: I lurk here a lot and post here sometimes. I completely agree and I didn't read the comment as really rude. Perhaps other things house has said is setting everyone off but I personally think a few of you are being FAR more rude than House's initial comment. I don't think it's ok to call her stupid and I actually think it was a little childish. Kare's bump is adorable! She made a comment. It was funny and someone was like "well now that you mention it I see your point" and some of you took it to heart. I think House has every right to derfend her train of thinking. This whole post is just sad.
Narocks- I forgot to mention the top is that Will Smithie brand or whatever from TJ Maxx; and I always was thinking the same thing about the bump/belt styling.

Oh dear me. A pregnant lady goes off to have herself a bit of lunch, with a side of cupcakes and comes back to this.
In all honestly, I wasn't offended by this comment. I poked fun at myself, so I really didn't mind the reply. I just think that you (House) have rubbed some of the girls the wrong way the last few weeks and this is just something to add into the mix. I don't think it was your comment to me that's set them off, but I don't want to bring up past posts b/c some of the comments you've made to others truly were rude.
Ladies, thanks for coming to my defense, regardless. You guys are the bomb. No need for a 6 pager here though. I'm totally fine - not upset at all. None of you need to get riled up or stressed over this - promise!

They're red velvet minis, which is perfect because you can eat as many of the little mini ones as you want and there are no calories. Only the big ones have calories. Fact.

I heard that when a pregnant woman eats a cupcake all of the calories dissipate into thin air. Is this true? ;D
F; now I'm contemplating going to Potbelly's for a sugar cookie.

As I understand it, cupcake calories go straight to the baby and provide it with a vast amount of vitamins/nutrients and things needed to grow, without affecting the mother at all.
It's truly amazing. However studies have not been completed on full sized cupcakes. Minis only.

No joke. I just made a green monster smoothie but filled up half the blender with mini chocolate chips because I am THAT desperate for sugar right now.
Kare-those cupcakes sound divine but don't you know it's rude not to share? Just sayin'. ;-)
