I'm glad to see there are others here who would pick equestrian, despite the many who say it shouldn't be an Olympic sport. Although, I can see the argument for that.
I suppose I could also compete in one of the sports I do in my real life (running, mountain biking, xc skiing), but they all require an awful lot of work to get to Olympic level.

Where do you think the money is? Ignoring sports like basketball, where you come in already famous/rich. Swimming? Gymnastics? That question for from DH btw.
I would pick something horse related. Or maybe badmitten.

Summer: Long distance running. a) I've never been a runner. Even in 1st grade the slow fat kid beat my skinny self in the so-called mini marathon. I'm not mocking the fat kid (he was my best friend), but I was certainly mocked in return for many years. B) Runners have awesome bodies.
Winter: I freaking love biathlon. Ever since my x386 computer olympics game on a green monochrome monitor. However, I love skiing, and I would have loved to be skilled enough to slalom at such high speeds. I wish I had that courage and skills. Or, better, freestyle, even though I know I'd have no knees after a run. I've met Jeremy Bloom and other hopefuls, and they don't have knees anymore.
