I haven't watched SNL in a long time but this was pretty good, loved seeing the old stuff. The last hour/hour and a half dragged on with the exception of Wayne's World (my fave). I also loved the Jeopardy skit early on.
I didn't watch it but plan to catch some skits on youtube, like Celebrity Jeopardy. I did watch the intro with Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake.
I loooooved SNL form 1999-2004, but after that I watched only occasionally. I'm not sure if it's because I was younger and found sex jokes/potty humor more funny back then, but the show doesn't amuse me as much as it once did. Exceptions are the digital shorts - Jizz in my Pants, Dick in a Box, The Golden Rule, I Just Had Sex lol.
My favorites were Will Ferrell, Chris Kattan, Tim Meadows, Cheri Oteri, Ana Gasteyer, Molly Shannon. And of course Daryl Hammond as Clinton . My favorite skit ever was the Schweddy Balls with Alec Baldwin, Ana Gasteyer, and Molly Shannon.
I'm still puzzled as to what happened with Eddie Murphy. It farily obvious he didn't want to be on stage. Chris Rock built him up and he came on and acted as if he was accepting a lifetime acheivment award and then it cut to commercial. It was a strange moment on the show.
Also, What Happened to Chevy Chase? He looked....different.

Ok, finished watching it! I agree that the second half kinda drug on a bit. First half was better for the most part. As for Chevy Chase, he just looks so old! I mean, I know he's in his 70s or whatever but he definitely looks it unlike a lot of the other older celebs.
@moonbeam I kinda feel the same way about when it was good. I think I liked it more in the early/mid 2000s, probably for the same reasons. I watch it now (ok, rarely, but when I do) and just don't find it as funny. Weekend Update has always been one of my favorite parts though, and that has stayed consistently funny IMO. Although I haven't actually watched the show in a while. I do miss the Jimmy Fallon/Tina Fey era, that was probably my favorite cast!
