I was in a store the other day that had an ancient chocolate lab and a really young French bulldog that was carrying around a ball. I want to go back just to watch them!

We have a shop dog. He is the one owner's dog, but he brings him in almost daily. He's a little brindle frenchie. When my boss commutes to work by bicycle he has a bike trailer the dog rides in. He commutes 30 miles.
I had a doctor's office (PCP) that had an office dog. Some sort of hypoallergenic poodle something. It wasn't very nice.
At my prior job, one of the docs would bring in his golden retriever. One of the Office staff would bring in her Burmese mountain dog for visits too. A permanent animal likely would have got shot down, but I'm sure one of the docs would love an office cat so she has another spot to put a stray.
I VERY allergic to cats. If someone who owns a cat even comes to my house I have to vacumn after they leave. I wouldn't be able to meet with an attorney with an office cat often because I'd be miserable
This is my H. I wouldn't get a cat if you meet clients in your office.
There's no way I can at my current office. Two floors of cube farms, probably 1500 people work at that location. At my previous job I feel like I could've gotten away with it. I had my own office and it would have been easy to gate my pup in there with me. You could already smoke in the building so... not much room for complaining about allergies.
DH's previous office had pups that would come visit. If someone had a vet or grooming appointment they would bring in the dog until it was time to go. The owner's son would bring in his Newfie and Lab roughly once a week. But they were older and lazy. DH didn't think it would fly at his current job, but someone brought in their dog not too long ago. I keep trying to talk him into taking Dots with him.

My tailor has an office little yappy-type dog named Flower. I love her! We don't have a class pet but that's only because I don't want an additional pet during breaks and could never trust the kids to volunteer for enough of the time (though they've sworn they would).
We can't even have a plant. A nearby large employer is well known for encouraging people to bring their dogs to work, but they have such a high turnover rate in my field that I'd never apply. I always donate when the bloodmobile is at their office though so I can dream about bringing a pet to work while watching the employees walk their dogs.

My first job as a paralegal the atty I worked for had an office cat. We could also bring our dogs. During Ramadan pets were not welcome and office kitty, pumpkin, was confined solely to his office. Clients, overall, did not like the pets in the office.

When I was a teenager my dentist brought his big chocolate lab to work with him. It would never fly now of course, but it made getting my teeth worked on a lot less scary. He would run down the hall and greet me and give me kisses.

Last year one of my coworkers was training a service dog (yellow lab) and she got permission to bring him to work everyday so he could be trained to be in an office setting. He was adorable and it was great seeing him everyday, although it was kind of a tease because the training is pretty serious and we were supposed to pretty much ignore him... womp womp.
One of my colleagues has an animal assisted therapy dog that participates in therapy (speech usually, sometimes occupational or physical) sessions on some of the inpatient units if the parent signs the consent and the patient's doctor okays it. And he comes to staff meetings for all of us (well, the dog people) to fuss over and so he can shamelessly beg for treats. He's awesome.

I work in manufacturing, so no pets. We used to have a pet wall where everyone could hang pictures of their pets, but that stopped when someone complained that it wasn't fair to the pet-less.
Petco's HQ is down the street, so I see a lot of doggies on my lunch time walk/run. They have a full on dog park out in front of their office which seems super cool.
My grandparents lived in this teeny tiny town. The shoe store had a yellow lab and black lab. One of the labs (i don't know which one), would take the deposit bag to the bank every evening. I think the owner attached it to his collar. It was on the same block so he would walk a few doors down to the same desk and the teller would take the deposit and give him a bone.
Once my nana told my mom to get eggs from the shoe store (they had a farm) we went to the lab store and the man was confused because he didn't have our name down but he gave us eggs. We got home and nana said we went to the wrong shoe store, we get eggs from the OTHER shoe store. Lmao. I miss that little town.
