Metropole! You HAVE to go there! This is one of my favorite restaurants and it's definitely a special treat kind of place.
Also the Hilton Netherland is AMAZING. We had a Christmas party there for work 2 years ago and had special rooms reserved and everything. Gorgeous.
The Orchids at Palm Court is one of the top rated restaurants in the city and IS the hotel's restaurant. But if you don't feel like having a four-star dinner there (not sure of your budget), they also have a fucking killer brunch.
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."
I grew up in Cincy, but haven't been back for a while. I just looked up my favorite BBQ place -even better than Montgomery Inn - and it JUST closed. Dec. 31.
RIP BBQ Revue.
I second Nada and Palomino's happy hour.
I like brunch at the National Exemplar, and Zip's for burgers.

Thanks guys! Hopefully I can recommend some of these instead of Toby Keith's restaurant that a couple of the guys mentioned :/
Ugh. Run far, far away from Toby Keith's. It's awful, which should be no surprise. But we went for a friend's birthday a few months ago and I ordered FIVE different drinks from the bar and each time, someone came to the table to tell me they were out of what I had ordered. And I wasn't ordering crazy drinks, I had ordered strictly off the menu-such as Cabernet Sauvignon. When they finally brought me a hard cider I actually liked, I ordered a second one. Oh, too bad-they only had one of them in stock. Stay away!

if you'll be with guys who like beer, the food at 50 West brewery is ah.may.zing. or you guys could always pop in to one of the other breweries as well (rhinegiest, madtree).
i'll second a lot of other people and vote for boca, but it is pricy.
tom and chee is fun and deliciously bad for you.
hope you enjoy your time in cincy! please let us know where you end up and how you liked it here!
