Best part of your Friday - the early edition!

You guys, you guys, you guys!!!!

Ok, so I'm posting this early because I'm a dirty AW and I'm so excited.  Two really really cool things have happened today.

#1:  Got a call from one of the leadership team at my client.  One part of the team has been extra rude out of frustration lately and have been blatantly questioning my and my team's ability to get this job done.  They are doing it for a number of political reasons.  There is NO reason to believe that we cannot be successful on this project.  So the guy who called me called simply to tell me that he and his side of the project have complete confidence in me personally and in my team as a whole.  He said that he hears the noise from the other side and an in no way does he support what they've been saying.  It was SO thoughtful of him to pick up the phone just for that purpose.  And it's a really nice note to head into the weekend on.

#2:  Got an invitation for some meetings in San Francisco next month.  This meeting is for my possible NEW ROLE!  You guys, this is a really good sign that it's going to happen!!!  My company would not send me to SF for 3 days for these meetings if it weren't pretty much a done deal.                        ......and now I'm knocking on all the wood so I don't jinx myself........

My Friday "yay" is that I used the birthday GC from sis and BIL and got myself a butt load of new beads for my crafting. I made sure each item was available on Prime so I didn't waste any of the GC on shipping.

Had a 2 hour lunch with a good friend and laughed like I hadn't laughed in a long time.

DS#1 asked if they were going to their dad's tonight. When I told him they were with me all weekend because it's the new schedule, he said he wanted it to be our schedule forever He also told me he found a toy in Meijer that he wants to buy me because he loves me (it's a white and blue foam jet plane).

Cooking with ginger tonight and going to a midnight movie (campy b-style thing)... and the movie event is sponsored by a local brewery, who is handing out free samples. Aw yeah

Nothing yet. I may get a mani/pedi after I leave work. I will be making pretzel rolls and cuddling with DH in front of the fire with a glass of wine, so that will definitely be fun!

A lengthy conversation about who has a better wiener**...me or my carpool husband. He claims quantity (his) is better than quality (mine).

I don't have a best part, though my guess is that it will be leaving here.

I have one from yesterday, got opening day tickets for H, Work BFF and myself! April 6th can't get here soon enough! (Red Sox vs Phillies)

I've bought frozen pizza, pop, and a cookie smothered in frosting. I rented Pirate Fairy (kid' s choice) and while I was at the thrift store I found The Princess Bride and the Katy Perry movie.

It appears I'm having a teenage slumber party tonight.

Purchased myself a few pick me ups! Made tacos for dinner(my favorite), small bouquet of flowers and my favorite junk food.

Currently have a very happy taco filled belly!

I think the best part of my day was having my mid-year review postponed until next week. I hate reviews.

The second best part was a coworker seeking me out to tell me I was right about a kid and that the kid seems to be flourishing as he's working to build a relationship with him. Okay, maybe that's the actual best part.

Another good thing: one of the kids at work told me about a hockey event on Sunday and that he'll be playing in the street hockey tournament they'll have there. I'm now planning to go and it would be cool to get to watch him play.
