hi! so DH, DS (4) and i are going down to disney in september. right now we're booked at Caribbean Beach Resort, BUT i'm looking at the Art of Animation and the Cars suites and know DS would LOVE that!! (and DH and i would love the extra space!!) I've been to disney a lot of- but never stayed at either of these resorts... we are booked in a "preferred" room at CBR, so the AOA suite would be "only" about $300 more.... and we would have 2 bathroom, plus DH and i would have a separate bedroom to watch TV after DS goes to bed at night. i almost feel like with DS being little, now is the time to do the "all disney, all the time" resort... and save them more "subtle" ones for when he's older...

We have stayed at AOA and loved it! They have a great pool (largest I believe in DW)! I agree with you about doing the kid stuff as they are young. and the separate space is nice. Their food court is pretty good too. I have not stayed at CBR.

CBR is closer to the parks (its actually right behind EPCOT) and its pretty centrally located. AOA is on the outskirts but its a newer resort. Out of the 2 I would opt for AOA because the rooms are larger, its geared more towards kids and its newer.
thanks guys!! the Cars suites are super cute, and DS would flip out!!! BUT i think we're gonna stay at Caribbean Beach Resort. the more i thought about it, i think i need a quieter, "non-Disney" type place to go back to after the crowded parks every day. LOL we also have a couple no park days planned... so it will be great to hang out on the beach area, he can play in the sand, do the pirate ship pool they have... OR its looking like the week we're going there might be a 30% off deluxe resort deal... so we may even be able to upgrade and stay at Wilderness Lodge (a boat ride away from Magic kingdom!!) for less than AOA. we'll definitely take him over to see the Lightning and the gang though!
