Oh kids are just the worst. I have a sinus infection and all I wanted to do was take a long hot shower. I set the kids up with electronic devices and away I ran. Except dd decided she wanted to pay attention to her (because god forbid I don't for five minutes). She opens the door and lets out all the steam. I finally get her to close the door again and then she decides I must watch her do the song and dances she does in preschool circle. Ds comes storming in and she gets pissed because she was obviously very busy. He says mom, something broke. I ask what broke. He then proceeds to get pissed at me because he couldn't think of the word.
I quit. Plus I'm out of booze.
Except being a mom means you can't quit. Better run to the liquor store after naptime!
You can quit. Just ask my POS MIL. But probably you should just get that booze and soldier on.
My 10 year old left her coat at school yesterday and wanted me to drive her to school today. I said no and made her take the bus. We have plenty of other coats in the house to wear for her 5 min wait for the bus and 5 min bus ride. She didn't like any of them so went to school in 2 sweatshirts/fleeces. Don't feel bad in the least. It's cold here but not negative cold.
Since we're whining, my boys, who usually take 2.5 hour naps, fought their nap for 30 minutes and only slept for 45 minutes. Now they won't let me put them down. If this is any indication of how the rest of my day is going to go, I want a do over.
I NEEDED nap time today. I may throw them at DH and run upstairs to hide as soon as he gets home.

Someone on our neighborhood FB board posted a rant on how they don't understand why anyone would buy their meat at walmart. Everyone can afford high quality meat for their family.
A midwife friend of mine just posted an article on FB about why people who are low risk should give birth at home. I can't decide if I should bother getting into an argument about why I think that's a terrible idea or not.
Probably not since I have to leave for the pediatrician's office in 15 minutes.
So dangerous. I hope they never realize how dangerous it is but medical professionals like that scare me.

I know. After what happened with Mallory, I wouldn't even consider a hospital with no NICU if I had another. Which I will NOT lol
Right?! My SIL had a birthing experience that was similar to yours, thankfully my nephew is fine but it was very scary for a while. I have an acquiantance who lives 30-45 minutes a way from the hospital and had a home birth. That's just stupid if you ask me.

Haha. I got news for her. My husband is a butcher and there's a good chance it's coming from the exact same distributor and slaughterhouse as most grocery stores. That's why I have our butler hunt grass-fed animals for us in the virgin forests.

Do they think their meat comes from some magical land that makes it magical meat that is far superior to Walmart meat?
I haven't watched the finale yet; tonight! Had to catch up on downton last night.
It was so good that it made me irrationally pissed about the stupid How I Met Your Mother finale all over again. It was absolutely perfect in every way.
Okay, just finished and really enjoyed it. I love when they project to the future and I really liked the way they did it. I am a little sad it's over - I love Leslie. And Ben. Really I just love Ben.

My dad was a butcher, and he'd agree, with the exception of Trader Joes/Aldi's. But he's been gone for a few years, so that could be different now too.

They used to source their meat and produce from places like Singapore that have/had questionable standards. They also had shit business practices in the "industry"
