I have to celebrate! My new med apparently kicked in and my sugar level this morning was fantastic. I also feel well rested and ready for a busy day at work today. It's nice to flip the switch from "I'm exhausted and done, get him out!" to "Hey, this isn't bad! I can do this for another month!"

DD has severe bronchitis and is coughing non-stop. She has slept with me for the past two nights so I can keep an eye on her (and keep her from waking her brother all night).....I am exhausted! I feel bad for her because she feels like shit but I am about to go insane with the coughing . It is taking every ounce of patience not to yell at her to stop for 5 sec. I know she can't help it but OMG!! ??
I announced at work on Monday. I've heard a few lovely comments already , like "was it planned?" Omg, who asks that! Another coworker said "I already knew, you gained weight in your face" gee, thanks... And this gem "I'm sure it's a girl. Girls steal their mom's beauty, you can tell" lolololol
I'm glad you are feeling good! I am back at work today after our mini vacation, boo. 12 week countdown to Hawaii.
I am meeting with HR at 1 today about a possible internal transfer that would allow me to work from home which means we could move to RI. I'm trying to not get too excited but I am very excited.

That's exciting! Good luck! i'd love to be able to work from home.
I had a great appointment at MFM yesterday. The GD lady who will be overseeing everything said baby looks perfect, measurements are all good. She said my after food numbers are fine, she's not worried about a few of them being over, but she doesn't love my fasting numbers, so she's putting me on glyburide. She told me that my fasting number is the one number I have no control over, has nothing to do with what I eat the day before, it's all hormones. That makes me feel good, assures me that I'm not doing anything wrong. She brought up splurging, said if I'm going to go a bit over that a good 20 minute walk can help bring my numbers down by 15 points. I brought up my shower, and she told me she's a firm believer that we shouldn't do our blood sugar after eating at the shower. She said it's your first baby, have your shower, eat the damn cake! LOL.

Most people were really supportive though...
Ugh.. way to ask if you and your H had been humping on a regular basis.
One of our managers asked me if it was planned and wanted. Um, WTF? Did you really just ask me if I want my baby?

Ugh, people are so annoying.
My boss did ask me if this was a surprise when I announced, because to her the "timing seemed odd."
I bet you look fantastic. Don't listen to any of them.

Hope DD feels better soon, traveljunkie13! It's official - people lack all tact & are just plain rude. Glad most were supportive, though miamigirl. Fingers crossed, preppy!! GL at the ultrasound, Kit!!
Boring day for me. Just waiting for the latest storm to hit just in time for the drive home. Yay!
The past few mornings I've had a big bowl of oatmeal with walnuts for breakfast, and I feel like it has changed my whole day. I also added in some hummus for my afternoon snack instead of just having carrot sticks or celery alone, and I feel like that is also helping. Last night I got home from work and didn't feel exhausted and like I wanted to do nothing but eat sweets and lay on the couch. I had energy to make a good dinner. So now I'm kicking myself for not having been smart about this for the past few weeks, but the cold has made me really lazy about meal prep.

I am afraid to tell my college colleagues. They are pretty anti pregnancy/ child in general. I have a feeling I am going to get the "you did this on purpose?" comments. good thing I can wait a few weeks to buck up the courage.

I'm working from home this morning because for the past 2 days I have gotten nothing done in the office. Well, I've gotten things done, but things my boss wanted and could have done himself instead of getting the things done that I need to have done by tomorrow.
My H leaves for Haiti tomorrow morning and will be staying at the airport tonight. He's gone for 5 nights and I'll miss him. I was never someone to be nervous being alone, I loved living alone, but I still haven't gotten comfortable being alone overnight in our house. It's just so much more spacious than I was used to in my little apartment and then the one we shared before we bought the house. I also don't live as close to friends and fam as I did before so not as easy to just get together or have company. I do have dinner plans with friends on Saturday though.
Although, me and all my pillows can really spread out in the bed now .

Apparently guests (my moms ol bitty friends) are telling (without being asked) my SIL that they "don't do games" when they are calling to rsvp. Seriously?

I'm fairly anti game, but this seems a bit much.
This would make me want to plan all kinds of games just for them. Even the awful ones.
I've had such a great pregnancy, but at 38w5d, I can officially say I'm over it. Any day, love!
DDs teacher yelled across the playground at pickup, "are you dilated?!" Lolwhut.
My favorite thing to do is come home on the day my housekeeper has been here. It smells so amazing in the house. Well, today it smelled terrible, because one of the dogs got sick inside Not fun ever. Especially not fun at 100 months pregnant.

WTF? That's a random thing to say. I mean, I don't mind games but there are some I haven't liked. You just go along with it and deal with it if you don't like it! That seems rude to tell someone that without even being provoked!
