I am not "Yea" "Yay" or "Yeah" for anyone just now.
I am nay because she is okay with her husband screwing around & she was a carpet bagger sweeping into NYS to run for office because she knew she could win there. I may have had more respect for her if she want back to Arkansas and ran.
The whole Monica L. thing ....there is no way in hell I'd stand by my husband. Not only did he cheat on her, the WORLD knew about it!!! There is no excuse for cheating. NONE
I could be wrong, but I think OP is one of our older posters (and I don't mean that in a bad way). Regardless, I'd still like to know why her aforementioned reasons would keep a person from voting for them.

So... her husband cheated, and it's her fault?
And don't the residents of NYS have something to do with electing her into office? If they didn't want her there, they wouldn't have voted for her.
nope not her fault her husband cheated. . But she stayed with him and in MY OPINON, that says it is okay. It is NOT okay.
Yep, voters elected her. She went to a state she hadn't lived in because the opposing party was lacking a strong candidate.
I also think it's kind of dumb at this point to even really consider her time as First Lady as part of her qualifications - if this was right after his presidency, of course it's more important and part of her resume. But 2016 is 24 years after he was first elected and in that time, she's been a two term senator from NY and Secretary of State. Her time as First Lady adds to her experience, but it's hardly the only thing she has going for her. She's gone on to make a career for herself that is far more important than whether or not she divorced him or traded in on his political achievements to get her foot in the door.
Yes. I was very much bitch please when they spoke of her running during and just after Bill's terms. But now? Now it's a whole new ballgame. I probably wouldn't vote for her because I'm conservative but there is no doubt she is MORE than amply qualified to run for president and would be a good one. The president I want? Probably not. But ably qualified to lead this country and work with congress? Yes, ma'am.

what way *do* you mean it though?

I mean she was older than a teenager during the Clinton/Lewinsky scandal. That's all.

, she is SMART, I just don't like her tactics.
Where was she supposed to run? You'll remember she wasn't actually from Arkansas which is also a southern state. She's from Chicago. She moved down to Arkansas from I think California after decided that why yes, she was in love with old Bill.
You don't know what conversations she and Bill had. You don't know what their marriage was like then, you don't know what it's like now.
I can't lie. I would have left Bill. But he ain't my husband. I'm not at all mad at him for staying. And whatever they worked out between them obviously worked because they look happy and healthy and Bill either keeps his pants zipped or is a fuckton more careful about where he unzips them. Meanwhile, Hillary has a supportive partner who loves her and understands the demands of whatever job she takes on.
We don't order spouses from the fucking factory like a goddamned computer.

1. Congratulations. It must be very nice to live in a world where your relationships with people you love are so very black and white.
2. So you are saying that whether a candidate condones cheating or not is your #1 priority? Can I ask what country you live? Because any country where that is most important, pressing public policy issue facing the country right now must be a god damn utopia.

So...if any woman chooses to stay with a man who is unfaithful, should she be excluded from ever moving forward in her career for making a choice YOU don't agree with?
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."

You really should pick a more creative screen name @susan3589. Or maybe not use it to link porn on Twitter.
hwhat?
Susan uses the same SN in multiple places, including a single post on Twitter. The post is a broken link to a porn site. I found it funny considering her thoughts on HRC.
I would prefer Bernie Saunders or Elizabeth Warren ideologically, though I imagine they might have disastrous administrations. I will probably end up voting for Hillary. Sent from my SM-G900T using proboards

You know, the older and more married I get, the more I understand HIllary not leaving.
I also think running in NYS was part of a need to have something of her own and not just "standing by her man". Hillary's got some Mellie in her. Or rather Mellie has some Hillary in her.
Honestly, I don't believe he's cheated on her since. I think she made that abundantly clear that she isn't going to be embarrassed like that EVAH again and I think Bill loves her and realizes how lucky he is that she didn't put him on the curb.
And you know what? I honestly don't believe it was as simple as all that either. I bet she thought about it. I bet he thought she would and I bet he worked hard and they worked hard to keep it together. I do not for one moment believe Hillary just shrugged and said, welp, whatcha gonna do.
ETA: I mean I bet she thought about leaving. I also bet her daughter had something to do with that decision, and not wanting all that public scrutiny to follow them around forever anymore than it already does.

How do you know that it's all the same person?
Her profiles list the same city, same state. Some use the same avatar.

susan, you do realize that any number of women in politically powerful positions might be women who stayed with husbands who cheated on them, right? Some of them might even be women you support. In fact, I just assume that every woman married to a politician in DC has been cheated on. And the fact that a man cheating on his wife makes you lose more respect for HER says more about you than it does about any woman that you would judge so harshly.
I'm having a hard time understanding the tactics thing with her running for office.
I don't either. If I wanted a specific job, I wouldn't limit myself to one area. I would cast my eye about for any place I was likely to secure said job.
The fact is Hillary didn't have strong ties anywhere. If I were a Democrat and a female to boot, I would not look to Arkansas as the jumping point for my national political career, particularly if I had options.

I would guess her account was hacked.
It probably was. I was just curious to see of she has a habit of trolling, given her comments. Found the link and thought it was funny.

I am also baffled. Hillary Clinton is hardly the first politician to engage in carpetbagging, nor the first to trade on her family connections to get ahead in politics. Don't get me wrong- I don't think those are healthy dynamics in our political system, but I just don't get how this has been SOP for wealthy white men in our country for the last 200+ years but now HRC does it and suddenly THE LINE HAS BEEN CROSSED AND WE WILL NOT STAND FOR IT.
