I've been in the er all day with my kid for a bad infection on her finger, and they just brought on a 4 year old that was stabbed by his mom. I feel like I'm in another world. Unbelievable.

Coming out of semi-lurkdom to comment. That child has been the main news story here all afternoon. The mom is 23, and was in the front yard stabbing her child, and neighbors called 911. The story has been haunting me ever since. How could a mother hurt her own baby like that?
I'm praying the little one lives.
