happy friday ya'll!

SB and i had a great talk last night about past relationships and what we learned from them. he's so caring and giving and i'm just so happy with him. tonight we're double dating with one of his friends and his wife, who i haven't met yet. we're going to a fun, trendy mexican place that i haven't been to yet, so i'm excited.

tomorrow i'm having breakfast with a good friend, then going shopping and mayyybe doing my taxes. then SB is coming with me to pick up a coffee table i bought on craigslist so i don't get skinsuited.

sunday is hopefully relaxing with SB all day. maybe cleaning house or doing the taxes i know i won't do tomorrow.

I don't really have any flamefuls. And if I did, I'd be too tired to argue why I feel some type of way.

There's a full time permanent job posting in my department (I'm long term full time temporary). I'm going for it. Eek!

I don't want to really do anything this weekend aside from watching house of cards. There's a brand new coffee shop opening less than a mile from BF's house and we are definitely going to that grand opening. I love small local coffee shops. We are going to be regulars, I've already decided.

I didn't get home from my work meeting until 11:15 last night, then my kid woke me up at 3:30. I'm taking a big ass nap after I drop the kids off at school.

This has been a long week! Yesterday my dad's surgery went well, he got a defibrillator. The doctor said it was the most complicated case he's had. It was only supposed to take 2 hours, but took over 4. We asked why and he didn't really explain it, he just said it was his anatomy. Glad it's over. I will pick him up today after work.

Okay my confession... I posted a month or so ago about my mom wanting to go on the cruise with me and my son and how I didn't want her to (and my son doesn't either). Well... I haven't exactly told her we are going on it without her. She thinks we aren't going because I didn't think my son's passport will come in time (which is not true b/c I have it). I told her we are going somewhere for spring break but I don't know where yet. And I'm going to have to tell her eventually but I don't wanna.

My other FFFC, I used the phrase "I'm not hipster enough to know who the hell those people are" yesterday. The response was "Yeah. Me either.". That means I'm old, doesn't it?

Holy hell that was one hell of a confession.

I feel kind of guilty for this so I guess thats why its flameful to me. I am so glad this week is coming to an end, its been insane at work.  Even though I hate that Dallas had crappy weather and I can relate to the frustration it causes being there I am thankful it happened because it really gave me and my team and opportunity to step up and shine and the extra praise/kudos has been nice.

I had an absolutely terrible date last night, like almost hilariously terrible.  I am going to crash tonight and can't wait for the farmers market and pottery painting tomorrow with pantsoffdanceoff.

I'm pretty sure each week in February has been longer than the last. So glad today is Friday, though.

Looking forward to going home early this afternoon and cleaning my room. Seriously, I just can't stand it anymore...I need space instead of piles of crap. After that it will be time to pick up Harry Potter again. I'm doing the reread on the book board (thanks, everyjuan for organizing) and we are supposed to discuss book two on the 9th. Can't really do that when I'm still in book one (mind you, I've read the series multiple times, but still).

Here's my real random: I signed up for an online novel writing course (thank you G.roupon). I used to write all the time and I've gotten away from it so I'm hoping this course will help me get back on track. I'm nervous though!

I will also see BF tomorrow. Life is going well for me, personally, aside from the recent news about my dad's health.

That would drive me crazy. I moved a few months ago to a floor of engineers vs product/business people and like it so much more. The chatting would drive me nuts.

That would drive me nuts too. I just moved desks from the sales to the dev side in my office and love it! Quiet side!

I'm moving to a temporary desk next week and I won't even have cube walls anymore, just row after row of desks. I'm dreading it, but at least I won't be on phones for a few months.
