OMFG. I have 3 bosses. THREE. Stacked on top of each other. But so now I have to manage all this shit by myself and project manage myself for some reason. I should really just be self employed it'd be a hell of a lot easier than managing everything myself AND reporting to 3 chucklefucks.
That's nuts. Are they at least somewhere on the same page on expectations?
My plans for the quiet day completely foiled with 4yr old and stomach bug. At least I'm getting a head start on spring cleaning because he aced getting both pillows, comforter, bedskirt, carpet, and storage bag under the bed. And DH is leaving work at lunch because he's completely exhausted; so much for quiet empty house. Let the laundry marathon begin.
Despite our Arctic weather, my Spring allergies have arrived right on schedule. My eyeballs are irritated and dry and my eyesight is shot to hell.
On a positive note, St. Patrick's season (yes, I said season, because that's how we roll) has begun in our house. Last night's dinner entertainment was Dropkick Murphys. Coming up: Shamrock Shakes and green sugar cookies.
March is two days away, which means Spring is coming, and this puts me in the best of moods.
I got a GC to Ulta from my mom for xmas and I was REALLY excited to use it. I thought it was $50 at least, maybe even $100. It was only $25 so all I got was a lipstick. Whomp whomp.

This might be flammable. We've been invited to a wedding on our anniversary. We're going because the groom is a longtime friend and I can't imagine being like, "Sorry we missed your wedding; we had to go out to dinner and then knock boots!" but secretly deep down I'm having a little bit of a beebee moment about it. Anniversary traditions!!!1!!

DH's stepsister got married on a cruise ship two weeks after our wedding, so we didn't go. Then she got divorced and remarried on our fifth anniversary. We skipped that one, too.

this could be the best! get drunk at the open bar and then go knock boots.
The wedding is... very informal. Like literally, come up to camp and bring a tent and a sleeping bag. Which may also be where some of my unenthusiasm is stemming from. Lol.

I think I could have an ear infection, but I don't have time to go to the doc today (or a primary doctor since we changed insurance in January and my last doctor is now out of network).
Plus, I got in a fight with DH last night after I had a lovely night out at a book club with some new friends. New friends = good night, try to talk to DH about it = fight and night no fun anymore. Blech.

That was totally my wedding, so of course, I'm going to say that some of the most fun weddings we've been to have campfires after a band in the woods.
But for the first 3 years after our wedding, we had a wedding to attend or be in that same weekend, so I get not having time alone. Maybe you could stay in a hotel on the way up to the wedding the night before and have your romantic night.

I have two clients right now who need to be given a serious reality check on their digital initiatives. They keep flailing about like an octopus but have zero strategy behind it.
I am going to have to be the bad guy real soon. I am not looking forward to it.

I have a stye on my eyelid. I am also regretting not getting a hair trim before this weekend, since a chunk of bangs keeps sticking straight up despite my best efforts. So I have to dress extra pretty so no one looks above my neck, lol...

The worst is when a conversation starts out totally innocuous and somehow turns into WWIII. It's so... confusing.

I started getting sick on Saturday, then had a fever of about 102 on Monday. It broke and I thought I would start getting better. Nope! Now I'm starting to cough, and maybe it's something new because about 50% of the people at a meeting I attended last night were coughing.

Did anyone watch the Nightly Show last night? The topic was issues facing black women in America. I thought it was pretty good. I recommend it.
During the keep it 100 segment he asked Issa Rae if she would rather be described as sassy or articulate and that would be what she would be known as forever. She visibly flinched at sassy.

ALSO I finished up the Hammered trilogy. pixy0stix I know how to save the world. We need just need access to some alien nanotechnology and a moral artificial intelligence.
Work was going to be super busy today. I just found out that I am getting a new desk Monday. This is great but it means rearranging our entire office and cleaning out several desks and shit. This room is packed with shipping boxes and study supplies so it's a much needed purge but the timing is horrible! I'm kind of overwhelmed.

Is it good? I'm doing a book challenge and one category is a trilogy and I'm at a loss.

I enjoyed it. You have to like SciFi, though. I think @ameliapond recommended it to me.
I need a biopsy and it was scheduled for yesterday. They had to reschedule me for next week and it really is stressing me out. I was doing ok until they had to reschedule.
My BFF informed me last night that my soon to be exH messaged her sister on POF. It shouldn't be a big deal, but he still tells me every day that he is different now, and he loves me and wants us to be together. I looked up his profile and he has all these pictures up with his shirt off. He is so gross. Why does it still hurt though? I feel like I could never trust anyone ever again.
Because of the 2 above I am super emotional right now. I cried all day yesterday. I need to go to ballet class today. Instead I want to mope. Ballet would be better.
A good thing though, despite all this I am still eating healthy. Only on day 3, but I'm proud. Normally I would be consuming cupcakes and donuts.

So I can wear my shamrock earrings to work now, yes?
