Anything good planned?
For us it is a bit boring. DH starts his job Monday and DD1 needs a dress for a father-daughter dance, so we will likely go shopping. Then we have a birthday party Saturday.
I already did laundry and cleaned the house last night because it was making me crazy!

We are headed to my parents for the weekend. We are hitting Ikea on our way through. I'm excited it's only my second time and the first time was right after it opened. Tomorrow I have a baby shower and then we are helping my grandma with her new apartment. Sunday we will celebrate dhs birthday. We invited in laws up to but it doesn't sound like they are coming.
I'm hopefully finally finishing the laundry closet. I have to put the last coat of paint on the trim, put the trim on the shelf, mount the hanging rod and hang the shelf. I also have to pick up the door knobs from Lowe's after an epic failure of a trip there on Wednesday.
Other than that, it's consignment sale tagging time. Ugh.

HOUSE OF CARDS! Plus, Sunday night tv....maybe a movie. Whoa, my life revolves around tv & movies.
I need some molding pieces to finish our wainscoting, so I might take the car seat out of the car and go to Lowes (seats won't fold down w/ it in there )

We're SUPPOSED to get 6-10 inches of snow and sleet between tomorrow morning and Tuesday night. So my plans are to sit at home and clean/sew/sleep. Maybe I'll sign up for Hulu just so H and I can catch up on the current season of Supernatural. I'm bitter that Hulu trials are for a week and not a month like Netflix is. Will I want to keep Hulu too? I should have just cancelled cable at this rate lol.
I have 3 shirts to applique, plus 2 for the boys (big brother shirts I haven't started designing) and a tooth fairy pillow. PLUS I ordered a ton of ribbon so I'm going to start making some baby bows since I hit the 3rd Tri today. I'm getting giddy!

We were going to go to the bay, but I can't find anyone to dogsit ... so I guess that's getting put off until next weekend. Sigh. I need a break.
To-do list will depend on the weather. If it rains tonight and tomorrow like it's supposed to, we'll be spending Sunday weeding. Good times. If it doesn't, R will probably change out a light on our porch, touch up some paint (he's the sloppiest painter I've ever seen. Literally. Paint everywhere.) and maybe do another skim coat of plaster in the bathroom.
Looks like DH is headed up to the mountains for snowboarding all weekend so its just me and the kiddo. I think we will check out the member celebration at the butterfly place nearby. Other than that, I just want to get my haircut and go to the grocery store.
On the reno front, our contractor should be coming by tomorrow to tile the hearthpad for the new woodstove that is being delivered on Wed.

I am going to the sewing expo on Sunday. I need a new sewing machine. I am going to be negotiating and make sales people weep with my Mom. It is one of our favorite things!
Homework. I lead a very exciting life, as you can all tell.
We're supposed to have dinner with the ILs this weekend, but I'm not going. The last time we went, they (especially his dad) were very rude to me. I stuck up for myself, the rudeness continued, H failed to defend me, I called him out on it on the way home, and he said there's no point in sticking up for ourselves with this parents because they've always been a certain kind of way (Apparently, they've always been giant douche canoes). So, I feel its best not to engage and will explain that to him tonight. He can visit them as much as he wants, but I'm done.

Good for you!
I actually just scheduled something fun for us. I got an invite to the opening of this hipster barber shop, so we are going. HAHA!
I have theatre tickets for this evening and tomorrow will hopefully be a whirlwind of getting stuff done. Sunday I'm having breakfast with my dad, then meeting a friend to tour her wedding venue, followed by happy hour.

Good for you for standing up for yourself. I do not go to my H's family events when he goes. They are awful to me and the kids for some reason. My h is adopted and they always make him feel like he owes them for taking him in or something. It is really weird. Anyway, we all stopped going but then I felt bad so I told him if he wants to start going to events he can but I am not going and if the kids don't want to go they don't have to either. I feel they are old enough to make those type of decisions. Sometimes they go but most times not since MIL favors her daughter's kids more. It's really relieved a lot of stress in my life and our marriage to be honest.
My weekend is going to be relaxing and hoping for school on Monday. My kids were out of school from 2/13-2/22 straight including weekends. Then they had off school yesterday and today. I am sick of this snow. They are going to be making up the snow days until July.
Tomorrow is SIL's baby shower. She is due April 1. There are 55 people coming. It's going to be the gawd-awful longest afternoon of "oohs & aaahs" over the gifts.
Sunday I think I will treat myself to a pedicure to get myself out of my winter funk and also stuff like food shopping, laundry etc. You know...all the fun stuff!
Oops. Sorry bunny. I didn't see this before starting my AW-thread. In addition to working on the basement bathroom, we have plans to go out tomorrow to celebrate H's bonus and raise, which were a little more than we expected. <)
Actually, your post might have been first. Sorry! I'll PIP the barber shop. It looks pretty awesome. I did tell my DH he needs to shave before we go otherwise they might sit him down there!
DH took today off and we did fun stuff like going to a lumber yard that is only open weekdays until 5pm (kind of boring because they didn't have anything different than HD/Lowes, but the quality was nice), looked at pavers for the courtyard (it was windy and cold for here), went to Trader Joe's, Total Wine, the fish market, and DH cooked dinner tonight.
We were going to go to Disney this weekend (Animal Kingdom), but I think it is supposed to rain a little, so I don't know. We have to make a Lowes/HD run for a few things that are too much of a pita for me to get loaded and unloaded on my own, since DH will be oot part of this week. We may work some more on getting the vegetable garden ready and weed a little in the front yard.
We have some work that we can do even if we have a little rain...like leveling one of the closet rails so that the the door on that side doesn't open a little on its own, and organizing the tool storage so that we can actually find things. I am not really looking forward to that job, but DH will do the brunt of the sorting and together we will figure out where it all should go. I would continue to just ignore it, but DH has some family coming the first week of April and the tool storage is in the closet (and right now,the floor) in the main bathroom/laundry, so I guess it should be a priority. ;p.
Low key weekend thank goodness! After DS' baptism last weekend and a crap ton of snow days I need normalcy. DH and I are drinking and starting Veep and kiddos are sleeping. Like is good! Tomorrow I think we are going to a Home and Garden Show to see about finishing the basement.
hair cut at a barber shop that does the old school straight razor shaves. I think your H should go for it! Although... I've heard some men can undergo a conversion and become quite obsessed with shaving and shave accessories.
I used to sit next to a guy at work who was obsessed with straight razor shaving! It's like a cult!
Maybe a movie Sunday afternoon; I want to see Mr. Turner while it's still in theaters. DS sprained his ankle 3 weeks ago and isn't especially mobile. I'm so bored; I should be doing stuff. Maybe I'll make my nice her shower curtain later. Or not.
