We just had our foyer and hallways painted and now I want to decorate. Has anyone done a gallery wall? I'm thinking it would be something I'd start now, going back a few years with pics, and then keep adding to over the years. How do you start it and position all the frames? Any pics or advice?
PS - I'm new here, looking forward to getting to know all of you!

Hi and welcome!
I have a few different gallery walls. For the most part, I think it's better, easier, and "cleaner" to hang a few big multi-opening frames rather than a lot of individual frames. For example, I have these two frames going up my hallway. I got them a while ago, but I saw them again recently at my Home Goods. I also tried for some consistency within the frames, in that all the horizontal pics are black and white and all the vertical ones are color in one frame, and in the other the center is black and white and all the smaller ones on the sides are color.
This is the one in our living room -- the center is a photo with a watercolor filter that makes it look like a painting, printed on canvas. I like the mix of canvas and photo frames, but you can see even with these few frames how easily they get off-kilter. I'm going to try to put some sticky stuff on the back to keep them in place better.
This is the one from our bedroom. All the frames are white, but different thicknesses and designs.
Here's the last one...I actually really fought displaying the group wedding photos because they are dorky (one is us surrounded by bridesmaids/groomsmen, the other is our two families around us), but DH argued that we had no other chance to get photos with all our family and all our closest friends in them, so I caved eventually. I think he was more worried about someone coming over and having their feelings hurt because they weren't on our photo wall, which is ridiculous, but whatever. :-)
