Pea in the Pod dresses seemed really nicely made and held up well. I had a LBD and a teal shift that I used for everything. They were way overpriced but my mom bought them as a gift. Old Navy always has nice maternity stuff that is cheap.
I was at a black tie wedding when I was 6 months pg. I found a gorgeous regular dress at Nordstrom that had an empire waist but didn't look like a tent. It was super comfortable and was a beautiful emerald green with a jeweled halter neck. I found that most of the maternity dresses were boring drab colors ( I always go for color over black). I haven't tried it on lately but I think I can even wear it again

I found some really nice dresses on Old Navy's website when I was pregnant with DD. They were cute, inexpensive, and I got a lot of wear out of them. I also had a Pea in the Pod dress that my mom bought me that I loved. Expensive, though.
