Apparently its never getting warm here, which is usually my motivation to get back to running, and even having a half at the end of March isn't doing it. I haven't run in 2 weeks and I need some help!
Who wants to start a March running challenge with me? You could set a certain number of miles as a goal or we could see who can get the most miles in all? Weekly check ins? Eh?
This idea brought to you by how awesome fuckyourcouch is and my amazement at her running commitment!

I would be in. Not for a daily challenge (i.e. run at least a mile every day) because I know my body needs rest days but a mileage for the month challenge would be great. I have a half May 3 and have been hating the treadmill so could definitely use the extra motivation.
I will run, like ...days run? Or something. I'm not up for clocking miles. The more miles I do, the more obsessive I become. Ahhh, lol. I don't know what i'm trying to say here.
I'm definitely in! I run a half marathon the end of March, so I actually need to run outside instead of just on the treadmill.
I think you can create challenge groups on daily mile if someone wants to do it that way.

No I'm actually doing a race in nyc. I thought about doing that, but since I've done the Philly half and Philly full marathon, plus run that route for free on the regular, decided to look for races outside the city.
It seriously needs to start warming up! I trained for my first full marathon during this time a few years back as the marathon was in March, but I swear it wasn't this cold in Jan and Feb, grr.
I'm in. I've got about 150 miles on the calendar for March. We are supposed to get another snowstorm on Sunday, so I will need something to hold me accountable for these miles!
And yay about everyone interested!! I'll make a post on Sunday so everyone can set their own goals, then post on Sundays and tag people so they can log in their miles.
I'll keep tally of the miles if you like so we can have a little awards ceremony at the end of March. Categories to be included are: most miles, most time spent running/walking, most improved mileage, most pees in the woods, etc.

Im in! I have a half at the end of March too. I wish I would have seen this earlier....I moved my sunday run to today and did 8 miles. ::sad trombone::
