It's so close that I actually don't know. His base is more than mine, but my annual will be a little more than his after including my OT. His benefis are WAY better, so I picked him. No kids.
Lol. H's income is tax free. If I compare his take home to my gross, I get more. If I gross his up (to pretend that his pay is after taxes), then he makes more.
Most of my girlfriends make more than their partners. Off the top of my head, my closest friends:
-2 are single -4 make more than their partners, no kids (2 are pregnant) -2 make more than their partners, with kids -2 make less than their partners, no kids -1 make less than their partners, with kids
None SAH full time, but kids are just starting to hit the scene in a big way.

Technically I earn more, but DH can get overtime and I can't. In years with a lot of overtime he earns the same or more. This year it was about even. We have 2 kids.
Depends. I earned more in 2014, but he got a better job last month. He earns a lot more on paper and better benefits. I have excellent bonus potential though. It is possible though not a given that I will earn more.

How is his income tax free?
100% va disability plus some gi bill stipend
Edit: hmmm..thinking about this, I wonder if I "earn" more since his is not earned income. I'm making this too complicated
DH makes more since I SAH. When we were dual income I actually made a little more than him, but he had more income potential (plus better healthcare and a pension). He makes about 30k more now than I did at my highest.
I voted "something else"--it depends on DH's commission for the year, so sometimes me, sometimes him. Although if you count our use of the company car as part of his earnings, it's probably him.
It depends. Just based on base pay, I earn more. However I am salary and don't get overtime. H has always made more once he gets all his overtime in for the year. No kids.
