DH is looking into this. You buy all the equipment you want up front but the monthly monitoring is lower than traditional providers. Anyone have any experience with it? I'd love some reviews of it to see if it is worth using.

We got it a few months ago. I'm very happy with it. I love being able to turn it on and off from my phone. And when I burned some food and filled my kitchen with smoke, they called within seconds of smoke alarm going off.
I have had it for a few years. I only have the $15 service. They call the police but I can't do stuff from my phone. I don't know if they changed the adhesive but I had problems in the beginning with the sensors falling off (setting off the alarm). They sent me the kind that you can screw in and all has been well since then. My kitchen windows are newer and couldn't be screwed in, so we used some sort of sealant stuff to make sure it stayed put. I haven't had any problems with the service.
We have had it for a couple of years and are very happy with it. We haven't had any problems with it at all. We did buy an extra key fob so that we would each have one. I would highly recommend it.

We've had it for a bit over a year and like it. Recently our dd accidentally set it off in the middle of the night and the cops were at our house within 15 min. Now we know it works!
We've had Simplisafe for probably close to 2 years and we love it. We pay $19.99 a month for monitoring. We've had a few instances where the alarm set itself off when we weren't home. We immediately get a phone call from the monitoring center and can tell them to disregard the alarm or not. There was one time where I was at work and couldn't answer my phone, my husband couldn't answer his, and my mom couldn't remember the password when they called her so they sent the police immediately. My husband hurried home and the cop helped him look around. Usually any false alarms are due to something 'interfering' with the main sensor and Simplisafe has helped us troubleshoot that over the phone. I 100% recommend them.
