I'm around. I did a 5k this morning with my family and a bunch of coworkers. Then we ran some errands at the mall and are now packing lunches for tomorrow.
I'm getting ready to head to my 10 miler. I am hoping this next round of winter weather holds off till I'm done. I see a lazy afternoon with a nap in my future as I woke up every hour to check and see if it was still on.

I'm up, getting ready to meet up with my running group. They're running 12 miles, but I may cut it short depending on the weather. I want to get home before the freezing rain and ice start. I'm tired of winter!

I was dead to the world until almost 7. Usually I at least start tossing/turning around 5. It's 20 degrees and we're expecting another nasty wintry mix. Looks like another skipped run for me.
I will enjoy some coffee, breakfast and then get started on housework...maybe do some baking/cooking for the week.

I went to a dinner theater type show last night, didn't get to bed until 1:00am, and drank a couple glasses of wine (which I very rarely do). I'm sitting here drinking coffee, hoping that my grogginess disappears, and that I'll feel motivated to start getting stuff done today. Luckily, I did my scheduled 7-miler yesterday, so I only have 5 to do this afternoon.
I have 20. Today was supposed to be the nicer day of the weekend, but of course our winter weather advisory starts in 2 fucking hours. And its 21 degrees out. Ugh. It was supposed to be 40 today!

I'm up. I guess I need sleep, I passed out around 9pm last night and woke up at 7am only because one of the dogs was crying for food. I'm eating some breakfast and getting ready for my 4 mile race.
I'm up! It's 5:30 here and I want to be out the door by 6 for my 17 miles. In super nervous about my IT band. Think good thoughts and cross some fingers I make it!

I feel like I post the same thing every weekend - I'm up but still in bed. Ran yesterday. We have freezing rain outside, so it's a good day to sleep in and stay inside.
I'm up. On my 2nd cup of coffee. Resting up today, after a long day yesterday. My legs do not feel 100% tapered and marathon is in 6 days. The nerves are starting to set in. Searching the Internet for positive marathon stories.
I just cooked some eggs and toast for breakfast. It's 38 and supposed to be drizzling most of the day. I'm going to do a recovery ride on the trainer. My legs are very tired after yesterday. If I can get motivated I have to go look at dish sets.
I've been up for a couple hours. DH and I went out to a fundraiser gala last night and enjoyed the evening a little too much. We decided to leave our car and take uber. Said decision also meant we had to wake up early to retrieve the car before the snow and ice started to come through. Now I'm leaving the gym and heading home for coffee and maybe making some pumpkin pancakes.
DS's wrestling match was cancelled b/c of the horrible weather (Happy meteorological Spring!), so we are taking advantage and being lazy. I'm resting up my legs this w/e. I need a little reset before the next 4 weeks of training.
I did it! And I didn't feel like I was going to die! Felt a little stiff in the beginning, but everything loostened up and my IT band held on for me. I've been trying to actively engage my glute med. so it's not so lazy and hopefully allows the IT band to not scream at me. it seems to really help. My old knee injury started aching around mile 10, but I stopped to stretch the quad and changed up my stride a little and it seemed to be satusfied.
I think one of the biggest things I'm learning during this training sequence is that I can deal with and manage issues as they come up. It's hard to imagine doing a marathon the first time and easy to think of 6,000 ways everything can fall apart. The confidence to know you can addres the aches and pains and soldier on is something I'm learning.
Anyway... 17 miles at 9:36/mile and I felt strong enough at the end to take one last hill.
Then ibuprofen, ice bath, recovery smoothie, foam rolling and coffee- in that order. Nap is now imminent
I got 5 miles in before the snow and ice. I ordered groceries that were delivered (lazy) and made the mistake of ordering 3 Bags of apples vs 3 apples total. Whoops! Currently have apple crisp in the oven

DH was working all morning until now- now its freezing rain and sleet. Looks like my long run for today is scrapped. Now I need to try to fit it in tomorrow after work somehow.
