Driving home from a fun night away. The boys swam in the hotel pool, we watched bball and H and I were able to go out for dinner. We also had our own room. The boys slept with my parents. Today I am taking Jack to the women's bball game. It is his elementary day at the game so a ton of his buddies will be there.
We were supposed to go to MIL's for some baking today but when she heard I have a cold I was uninvited because "I shouldn't be exposed to germs in my condition." Her condition is acid reflux. I was planning on sitting out of the baking but I am now not allowed in the house at all....I think DH will bring DD to bake there and my day is now wide open (other than DS).
If I thought my mil had a condition that would keep her away if one of us was ill, I'd be sick every fucking time she wanted our presence. lol sounds like you lucked out.
For real. This sounds pretty awesome to me. Ridiculous But awesome. I would immediately start working on my fake cough.
I also went to the adult ballet class, lol omg, I definitely was not a dancer in a prior life. I made something that was supposed to look so pretty - horrendous. But it was so much fun!
I keep trying to convince lucys dance school to teach adult beginner ballet! I wish, the only places around here that do it are downtown. No thanks!
I just got back from the grocery store. I think h is going into work again so it will just be ds and I again. We are supposed to go to my mom's for her birthday dinner tonight, but other than that we have no plans.
Ds is starting to cough a bit. I swear, I will cut my sister if he ends up sick since it's her fsult for taking her sick kids to my mom's last week.

We were going to wait on buying a house, but after talking to our accountant, we decided to buy sooner rather than later. We saw one today that we fell in love with and we are going to make an offer.
I'm just so tired of change. I want to be settled for awhile.
In the past 15 years we have: made 2 international moves and back again (1 each independently before we met and 1 as a couple), 4 cross-state moves, and 5 moves within the same state, obtained a graduate degree each, made 11 job changes for me since 1998 and 10 job changes for H since 2005, gotten married, had 2 pregnancies, purchased and sold a house within the span of a year, and just about bought that partridge in a pear tree.
In my professional opinion bagels are necessary for optimal health.
With lox and cream cheese.
Lox and cream cheese are not necessary for optimal health. Bagels are. If you go to a place that sells them warm (like this place that made me moan aloud: www.yelp.com/biz/bagel-gallery-smithtown) they are perfect in their solo state.
The bean is the star of the week for her classroom. She's working on a poster about herself, picking out share items, and thinking of a snack to bring in. Part of the process is a letter from parents in a sealed envelope to be read to the class.
It's due tomorrow. I'm sitting here writing a limerick to turn in. It's gonna be great.
Every time you post about your kids I think you must be the greatest mom.
I'm feeding C while H does homework, then we are eating dinner and giving C a bath. I'm really sleepy today, so I'm hoping to get to bed early tonight. I keep nodding off while I'm sitting here nursing. There's something about a sleepy, milk drunk baby that makes me soooo tired.
We are going to build mobile cages and put them in our garden so they can eat the bugs. They will also have a house along the side of the garden.
Right now they are in a brooder box in the basement with their snazzy warm set up.
Egg laying purposes only. No eating the chickens, at all.
What are you going to do when you have a bunch of dried up non-laying chickens around? This is why DH won't let me get egg chickens. I would have all of these geriatric chickens that are of no use, but they would all have names and probably sweaters too.

They are still capable of eating bugs and by that point, they will be more than pets and I'd just let them live out their little chicken lives happy in the garden.
