(edit: I, like isabel, have had people suggest lifting no more than 10lbs, lolololol…I clearly wasn't following that when I front squated 115lbs at 21 weeks pregnant - but I also backsquated 195lbs at 6 weeks pregnant because I had no idea I was pregnant…it's all relative to what your body can do not pregnant and what your body is used to).
Yeah, when she told me this, I decided I wasn't going to bother telling her that two days previously I had worked up to a 110# 3-rep max for overhead squats. lol
Her saying that was even more ridiculous because I am a restaurant manager and routinely carry heavy trays of food, boxes of wine, etc. Not lifting 10# isn't even in the realm of possibility for my lifestyle.
Baby seems just fine despite her concerns. Damn kid is like a ninja in there, 24-7.
Look, I'm a freak about working out. I hounded my doctor about lifting my restrictions after surgery and pushed to the very edge of the limits he set for me. I get it. But your schedule doesn't seem like moderation to me and I think you should dial it back just a little.
How so? Not trying to be argumentative at all, but Farmer said she's not even breaking a sweat during her current workouts.

Agreed she said she could talk during it. So. I think it just sounds more crazy than it is

Knowing that she had issues earlier (bleeding, right?) I would not be doing insanity or boot camp type workouts. Too many rapid body movements and too much room for injury. Cardio and weights is where I would draw the line, if it were me.

insanity and bootcamp actually do make it sound like worse than what it was. the insanity format at 24 hour fitness, imo, is insane slow. it's nothing like shaun t's insanity at all. and the bootcamp i went to last week was more weightlifting and i just used 8-10pound dumbbells or did no weights at all for things like squats, lunges, pushups, planks, arm weights etc.
i'm definitely still pretty apprehensive bc of previous bleeding issues (last time was 2 weeks ago, so i held off on exercise for an entire week after that episode).
I would not do planks or most ab workouts right now. Can lead to greater risk of IUGR and diatasis recti or however it is spelled.

!!?! did you do pushups though? when i needed a break from pushups i just held a plank for a few seconds.
No but i hate push ups lol. I had very strong ab muscles pre ds and he was under 6lbs full term. It was never proven, but i wondered if it was connected, so it makes me nervous.
But planks for a few seconds probably no big deal.
Every pregnancy is different and we can't tell you what to do.
I ran throughout both pregnancies, 3-5 miles a day 4-5 times a week. I ran 4 miles the day before I delivered DD2. But I felt fine and it was a slow jog. That was right for me. You do, indeed, just have to listen to your body and slow your roll if it gets to be too much. And drink water.
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”

I still work out 5ish days a week and I just hit the 3rd tri. I'm starting to have to slow down a bit now as running more than 2 miles or some of the even light weights workouts are giving me more Braxton Hicks that I'm comfortable with at this point, but at 14 weeks, I was still doing basically my pre-pregnancy routine with a few modifications. I've stayed in touch with my doctor, and we discuss at every appointment. She's mostly concerned with keeping my heart rate at a reasonable place and making sure that I'm getting enough oxygen for me and the baby (hence the able to talk rule). Other than that, nothing was off-limits as long as I stop if something starts to hurt and don't push myself if my body just can't do that that day.
I also have to drink what feels like 5 times the amount of water I normally would.
I still do planks and pushups too, but I know that is probably bad.

I was so so determined to be able to do this, and at 26 weeks I'm hitting the point where running more than 2 miles is just not working for my body anymore (even at a snail's pace). I'm bummed, but I don't want to be stupid either.
Like others, I hear bootcamp and insanity and assume a high-intensity workout, but I don't doubt you were able to modify it to a safer level. I do worry that you may be doing too much too soon after taking so much time off, but if your body is handling it well, you're probably fine.
My doctor told me to listen to my body and stay hydrated. Like erbear, I ran 3-5 miles 5-6 days a week right up until the day I delivered with all of my pregnancies. I remember I lifted lighter weights a couple times a week during my first pregnancy, but by my second and third pregnancies, I just didn't have any energy left after running. I still have that problem, actually. lol.
As everyone else has said, your OB needs final say here.
With DS1, I was 5 days/wk until 3rd tri, when I dropped to 3 days a week. I needed the extra rest and took it.
With DS2, I was 2-4 days/wk for the entire pregnancy. Partly based on schedule, partly because I just needed the extra rest days.
I had (mostly) complication free pregnancies and my OB was on board with staying with my regular routine with modifications. I kept asking if I needed to cut things out and even in the 3rd tri, she was like KOKO! I still did really intense workouts, but just listened to my body and modified when necessary. BUT! This is such an individual thing. Even my friend (the gym owner) said that she allowed me into classes that she would normally restrict for pregnant women just because she knew me and knew that I would modify when needed and wouldn't push myself too hard.
I get missing exercise. I really do! Just be sure your OB is on board with everything.

What is this? I've been doing planks for many weeks now. It's basically been my substitute for all ab movements since I'm too big for sit ups and what not.
Eta: ohhhh. I just googled. Yeah, I might stop doing that. Yikes.
